Do you really think people like Ottavio Cinquanta or David Dore or anyone important is in charge of moderating and posting on the ISU's social media pages? Knowing Cinquanta, I doubt he even knows the ISU Facebook page exists. If you've ever worked or interned at an organization like the ISU, it's very likely that it's some lower-level staff member or intern who handles the day-to-day stuff on social media accounts. Given that the sheer volume of nasty, vicious comments outnumbered the number of legitimate comments (I was on the ISU Facebook page a couple days ago and from what I saw, the comment sections were a big mess), I can only assume that the poor intern in charge of moderating the ISU social media sites just started deleting comments en masse as opposed to parsing through each individual comment for legitimate discussion.

I really think they would delete any comment that they believe to be not flattering to themselves, mannered or not.

Would you want me to try writing an essay and see if they delete it or not? I could, for instance, copy/paste ladyepheu's eloquent posts #1649 or #1832 and see what happens.

No of course not, but the corruption is systemic through the organization. It starts at the top and runs through straight to the bottom. The ISU closed its public feedback site because of heavy volume and probably unwanted criticism. Instead of doing what 99% of corporations would do ... apologize, issue a statement saying "they're working on the issues and the site will be back up as soon as possible"...the ISU simply does not care. When Hersh asked Speedy and about the corrupt Ukrainian judge and issues re: conflicts of interest with the Russian panelists, instead of expressing concern and saying he would look into the issue, as 99% of all CEO's would do ... he completely dismissed everything.

The ISU simply DOES NOT CARE. If the entire world thinks their sport is rigged...THEY DON'T CARE. If the results are in fact cheated, THEY DON'T CARE. If people train their whole life and then are given no fair chance in competition, THEY DON'T CARE. If spectators invest time and effort into following the sport, and then are let down when competitions prove to be a farce, THEY DON'T CARE.

If the ISU cared to fix corruption at all, it would have happened already. CoP was implemented over a decade ago now. The suspended judge was 1998 ... in every other sport in the world, that judge would receive a lifetime ban. Not in figure skating, where fixing results is considered a minor violation. That shows you how systemically corrupt the sport is, and why it should not be taken seriously. In fact, attendance and ratings have gone down not because of scoring systems or lower quality skaters or lack of personalities, attendance and ratings and interest in the sport have gone down because people don't view the competitions as legitimate. They know the results are rigged from the start. Rather than try to root out the corruption, the ISU only tried to hide it more with the anonymous judging shenanigans.

The ISU DOES NOT CARE about cheating. It's widely known about and accepted within the sport by insiders. If the majority of the public points this out, THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE.

Exactly. The only way they would care is if the IOC stepped in and threatened explusion from the Games, or if people stopped watching to the point they were going bankrupt. Considering skatings popularity is way down now and they are apparently still making money I have no idea how low that would have to go. The ISU should thank god for Hanyu as he and his likely dominance of the mens event in the coming is the only one that will keep Asia who is the only one bringing in the money are surviving on now still going awhile longer, even in the face of various Asian skaters from Korea, Japan, China being undermarked the last 4 years, the obvious corruption of the sport, and most of all the impending retirements of Takahashi, Kim, Pang & tong, and Asada. Although arent Takhashi and Asada talking about staying in now?

Truly, I don't see how any skating fan could not see this as a disaster, if they have a smidgen of sense that they could be the victim at any time for any reason other than skating.

Questions about judging arised from the very beginning of these games with the team event. People were shocked but gave it a benefit of doubt as seeing it was the first time the event took place with such a format. (Remember what people discussed.. "how big of a margin Yuna could afford against Yulia.." ROFL MY A** )

It turned out not to be an exception, and the judging was rotten to the core.

So....you think that endemic corruption is rife and systemic throughout the ISU and that they DO NOT CARE.

So, was the ISU corrupt just in time for the Sochi Olympics? Or was it already corrupt when Yu-Na won worlds in 2013 with huge scores? Was it corrupt in 2010 when Yu-Na won with the 2010 Olympics with the highest scores ever? Were those scores the result of corruption, if corruption is so systemic in the ISU from the top to the bottom?

They were corrupt always but there was simply no way to deny Yuna's excellence in Vancouver. That is one of the reasons she has many fans. She simply didn't give excuses. She was an example that hard work and dedication pay off despite the odds.

They pulled it out anyway in their home turf and now are facing backlash. That's what this is all about.

They don't want to. They probably all have checkered history. It seems like the entire organization and system is corrupt.

As everyone has seen, they could care less how obvious judge fixing looks or what people think. They simply don't care.

That's what I'm thinking. One would think it shouldn't be a big deal to kick out criminals, but when everyone were part of the conspiracies and has history of their own, its probably difficult to point fingers. Sad state of affairs.
