The most 'acrobatic' pair?

The pro all-male Russian duo, Besedin and....? are great acrobats to watch, and obviously very different form any other pair team. They do some really amazing things.

Who really comes to mind first in choreography are Dmitriev and his partners(as far as acrobatic/contortionist) , especially M&D, Natalia had some of the most incredible contortionist positions, the death spiral in the catchfoot position from 1992 is truly unusual and stunning. They also had some of the most unusual lift exits as well. There was one exit with her being flipped over his shoulders then nd exiting the lift over his back on one foot.

I would say that as far as amplitude on big tricks acrobatics , the Chinese pairs lead the field. Although not a fan of their skating, I was impressed with Zhang and Zhang's twists when I first saw them

Don't forget Canadian pair Barbara Underhill & Paul Martini; they were an innovative and exciting pair to watch, especially in the old World Pro competitions in the '80s and '90s. They paved the way for fellow countrymen
Brasseur and Eisler and others. Other than ice show tours and exhibitions, you don't get to see as many of the 'veteran' skaters any more. Perhaps they should revive the World Pro tour, maybe on the lines of the current Grand Prix circuit?

They quit the pro competitions because there wasn't enough interest - at least that's the reason I heard... they couldn't get big name sponsers to stay on... skating's hit a decline and the pros are what got hit first

IIRC there is a Grand Prix like series for pros (or was) but it's not televised...
