The Mrs. P baby thread

Baby T is now 2.5 months old! She got baptized today. She was so cute in her frilly dress and flower headband.
She is doing quite well. She is pretty much sleeping from 8 pm until 5 or 6. Again we'll see how long this sticks. She has nice head control. She can lift her head sometimes. :)

Awwwwwww so glad to hear that Baby T is doing great!!! As Gail said....please keep us posted.

Yay baby T! Congratulations on her baptism, I am sure she was beautiful. So happy for you all.

I m late (as always) but congradulations from me too!

Thank you seniorita! I miss you around here, so your well-wishes are especially appreciated!

I was looking back on this thread, and I am absolutely touched by all the support you all have given me and my family. There's a reason I am a mod on GS, and this is one of them.

Anyway an update (I'm sure Dee is eager!): Therese reached 3 months on Sept. 22. She is 15 weeks as of Monday. She has learned to roll over to her belly (she did roll over multiple times ONCE) and as a result now sleeps on her belly at night (We put her down on her back, but she always rolls over!). She's started to make noises and talks to herself throughout the day. We read to her every night and she's starting to show interest in the books.

I returned to work on Sept. 15, so I'm in my fourth week. So far so good. My employer allows me to work from home twice a week, so I'm learning how to balancing caring for her and getting work done. Her vibrator chair is my best friend. :)

Mrs. P, thanks so much for keeping us updated on Baby T. :cheer:

This is funny, when my mom had her first grandchild, she was so amazed at what her grandson could do at 3 months. She said babies just aren't babies for long anymore. She commented to my sister-in-law, Dee just laid in the bassinette for a year. I think it may have seemed that way to mom but I loved the look on her face.

Somebody asked me in another thread how Baby P is doing, so I thought I'd update this thread.

Baby T is now a little over 5 months (11/22/15). She is about two feet long but still only weights about 13 pounds, so somewhat skinny (though not underweight or anything like that). She's still sleeping well (7 p.m. to 7 a.m. most days plus two naps during the day). She seems close to starting solids -- she kept trying to grab the bowl of pho when I was out with Mr. P and my dad the other day!

She is rolling like crazy - she rolls like 180 and does a baby cobra when she's on the changing table! I can tell she wants to move more, but she's not quite at the crawling stage yet.

I love reading this thread, it's like a little diary of her progress. And thank you all for the love!

Does she do the happy baby pose? (ie. Laying on her back while touching her feet). Funny how babies naturally do yoga poses and as adults we attempt to copy them!

Yes! I actually have a photo of her in that pose -- though she has a stern face, so I call it her stern baby pose. I have to be honest and say I am jealous of her flexibility.

Time for another update.

BABY P IS CRAWLING! Oh boy! Working from home has taken on a new element now that I have to chase her and make sure she doesn't bump her head on something.

:)

She turns 7 months on the 22nd. We'll celebrate by watching U.S. Nationals. :)
