Because Ando and Koster are any more consistent than Joannie? Joannie scored 180+ with three major errors at TEB, which is more than Ando and Koster can say about themselves. Plus, she's getting higher pcs than either of them.

But Ando has personal best score of over 195+, a far cry from what Joannie did. And please give credit for a skater, who just over come major injury and landing 3+3 which Miki had landed in both her SP and LP. Can you say any skater recovering from an injury and landing a clean triple, let alone 3+3 and 7 triples in a program?? Let just wait till the competition is over and then we can all yip yap until the next event, world at L.A.

Excuse me, I'm not taking anything away from Miki. I'm very happy for herachievements and feel for her struggles and perseverence. I was just responding to another poster who implied implied Joannie is less of a competitor than Miki and Caro.
As for your question, off the top of my head, Irina and Yu-Na did it recovering from major illness/injury. My previous post is based on their performances and results this season.

I'm sorry but Joannie Rochette to me is considered among the best. I put her right right up there with Yu-Na Kim and Mao Asada. Rochette won Skate Canada with both stronger technical and artistic scores that can score around Kim and Asada.

At Trophee Eric Bompard, she beat Mao Asada granted she wasn't that consistent but so wasn't Asada so there goes your theory about even though Mao Asada is not that consistent, someone else besides Yu-Na Kim can actually beat her for a change.

And no, Joannie Rochette scores were not inflated. She actually are getting the scores she finally deserves considering her overall skating has gotten a whole lot better

Joannie's best PCS scores on her SP are relatively low in comparison to Mao and Yu-Na... and I would also have to say that her PCS scores on the low program were a bit inflated (7.55 for skating skills at TEB) in a program that she did quite a bit of stumbling around in.

The big problem for Joannie is that Yu-Na already has the numbers to beat her from previous skates this season.... and as for Mao, the program Mao skated at TEB in which Joannie beat her has a base technical score that is about 28 points higher than the program she skated at TEB. If Mao skated with that program at TEB, she could have had +/- 3 additional misses and still have wound up beating Joannie.
