Bad stuff going on in Tibet and it'll probably get worse before getting 'better' ('better' here meaning the evil Chinese government killing enough people to temporarily keep the lid on).

Are athletes that go to Beijing supporting genocide?

Is it time to start thinking of how to sabotage China's precious olympics?

This will all blow over soon and be forgotten. There will be no boycott and the Tibetans will have to forget forever the thought of ever regaining their independance. As much as I wish independance for Tibet, I fear that is not ever going to happen. Not even with a boycott, so I do not think the competitors can be blamed for anything. But I do hope something positive happens.

That sounds a little too much like "realpolitik." I think the world is repulsed by the crackdown on little Tibet and its monks. Americans have an idea that Buddhism is a very pacific religion.... It is hard to imagine celebrating the Beijing Olympics this year.
