I hope it's OK that I post this link to FS Universe. Please let me know if I have not followed proper procedures. This is a translation of a French article talking about how Brian & team realized his programs were not COP friendly, and have made changed to both short and long programs. So it will be interesting to see how he fares this weekend.

Hi Joe...

The report in French was supposedly dated 11/2.

It indicated that Brian worked with TT, Platov, and a judge by the name of Anne Hardy to improve both programs for COP. (not sure if all of these people were present at the same time, or how many sessions this took). Supposedly Yags was not involved.

The article says that they modified the SP and LP to include less posing and less 2-foot skating passes. It says they worked on improving steps and transitions.

It makes no mention of any costume improvements (OK, as the Rusty Hanger chick, I had to throw that in :))

Like everyone else I'm sure, I'm still waiting for more news about how the details of the SP's went today. I would imagine Brian had some challenges with a modified program, out for the first time. People on FSU reported that he stepped out of a quad, and had a "near fall" (apparently butt did not touch ice as there was no deduction) on something else.

I sure WISH we in the US could see the SP coverage. Scores are really close between 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Also, us Dirty Old Ladies (well, I'll just speak for myself) are DENIED the opportunity to evaluate the whole Joubert "fall/ did the butt hit the ice or not" question in slow-mo replay. And if it were televised, we could record it and play the slow-mo replay AGAIN just to make sure. :)

Let me know what else you hear and see on the net!
