Uneven Sole / Bubbles? on RF3 Pro

Hello you all,

I got fitted for my second pair of Risport RF3 Pros (240C) last week.
I wanted to get my blades mounted this week, but realized today that the sole on both boots kinda deformed? It seems almost like waves or bubbles started appearing in the sole around the front part of the skate (pictures) that I didn't notice in the shop during the fitting:scratch2:

Did I get a faulty pair? Can something like this happen because of heat molding or punching out?
My right skate seems more affected than the left one and it got punched out 3x times in total - in comparison the left one was only punched out twice.
Most important question: does it affect the blade mounting or the skates longterm wise? Is it something safe and normal?
(never seen something like this before)

Or should I try to get a replacement pair at my skate shop?

Hi, I would love to see the boots and what's happening but your photos didn't load here for some reason. I will say from your description though, see if the shop will replace at no cost to you.

Good luck!

No idea why it didn't load, but it should now! :)

Those leather soles don't look normal. During initial fitting or during heat molding, did you by chance walk or jump with the boots? Regardless, you should bring them back to your tech for inspection and documentation.

I didn't, I just stood in them and later on sat down normally with boots still on. Never jumped or walked.

The fitter did press them onto my feet when they were still warm though, like wrapping his hands around the boots (side of feet and ankle area) and really pushing inwards to kinda help them take on the shape of my feet?
I remember that he didn't do that two years ago and the boots didn't feel as hot this time around.

I suspect I got a faulty pair, because when really looking at those boots in detail today, I noticed that the left one seems a bit off compared to the right.
The highest hook has a tiny difference in height, the plushy upper part of the left one is narrower (difficult to see in pictures) and doesn't seems as aligned to the side of the skates and the back stitching seems more straight and less curved than that of the right one.

But I do have no idea if those details are just that, tiny details that are insignificant and due to the skates being partly handmade or if those are signs of them being defective. Or maybe those differences are results of the heat molding?

Regardless, you should bring them back to your tech for inspection and documentation.
Thank you for your assessment, I hope I will be able to!
I contacted them today and know they saw my message, but haven't gotten any reply as of yet...
As they are 6 hours away from me, I can't just show up without an appointment sadly:dbana:

OK. That's good. Some skaters here have reported that they walked or even jumped with new boots before the blades were mounted.

That's normal procedure for heat molding. The uppers are meant to be flexed and shaped to conform to your feet; the soles aren't.

In your discussions with the tech, focus on potential structural and functional defects; I wouldn't cloud the discussion with minor cosmetic variations.
