Uno's "Padam Padam" for a future SP?

Just because he's done this before, doesn't mean he should be doing it regularly imho.
Things could get predictable.
I'm also not the biggest fan of doing it the other way round, btw (not related to Shoma, but in general).

What is "many fans", actually?

I think Shoma's programs are great... No need to switch them.
I think this is for next season not this one.

I am conflicted. I really love the program, but I also love all of Shoma's programs, so I partly want to see as many programs as possible from him rather than reusing this one. Either way I guess I will be happy.

I like how the program really shows off his edgework/skating skills, but for some reason, I feel like the vocals distract from his skating. Maybe I'm still scarred from his "Balada un para loco" vocals...

This is basically me. I want him to continue skating for a long time, to all the music!

Why would he need to do another Edith Piaf song, even in the Patricia Kaas version... there are enough skaters using Piaf. Shoma's team can come up with something better ;)

Nobody said anything about switching. The question was would folks be interested in seeing this piece "become" an SP in the future.

In the future can mean many things... like tomorrow... or next year. I have already answered both options anyways in a second post above.

It was a question that was asked in the men's press conference. It's widely known from various social media outlets that it's been brought up.

Just for fun, currently out of 635 votes, 79% would like to see it become an SP :)

I would be curious to see how this vote would turn out on GoldenSkate .. Some of us do not like/use twitter ;) I know some skating fans were not too sure about Gravity for Shoma's SP ( I personally love it ! ) ..... and of course, his Padam exhibition is great so the question brings up more than one debate...

The link goes to Golden Skate's Twitter feed so it's really still GS. It's just a different way for people to share their thoughts, or they can share their thoughts as you have in the posts in this thread. Anyway it is just for fun. ;)

I aware of all of this ;)

Agree Shoma’s current programs are just fine; they definitely reflect Lambiel’s considerable influence bringing a solidity and maturity to Shoma’s expression. Revisiting the EX as a SP would definitely work maybe next year?
Would love to see it!
What I would adore is a future EX done to the very nostalgic Sacred Spirit Legends which made me a Shoma fan in the beginning!! Bet the crowd would go wild ..
I have reposted the music in Lecafe “What Are You Listening To Now” thread
In Shoma’s honor

I'm thinking why would Shoma pay attention to this poll? I think his programs for this season are wonderful and you can really see Stephane's influence in his presentation. If it ain't broke - don't fix it.

I don't think the poll was meant to be a suggestion to Shoma; I thought it was more just to discuss something that's starting to be talked about a lot, which is wouldn't his EX be a great SP sometime, not necessarily this season. Anyway, I agree his programs seem to suit him well this season. It has been great to see him continue to blossom working with Stephane.

I wouldn't be against Shoma revisiting "Sacred Spirit Legends." That one made me a fan as well!

I have edited the title as I think some folks misunderstood or "read over" my first sentence in the original post. Just to clarify, the question is: "Would you like to see Uno use "Padam Padam" in a short program in the future. :)

Please read the original post.

I remember having misgivings when I realized he was going to take his EX Shoboe Concerto and make it his SP. My first thought was "Oh no, don't ruin it with quads!!!!" However, it DID become his SP and worked out great. He managed to integrate the jumps in a very smooth manner. Same thing happened with "Great Spirit". He needed something for ice shows, and then Shae Lynn reworked it for him to become his SP. I can see the same happening with Padam Padam. I love that it was choreographed by his former coach, Mihoko Higuchi. She really "gets" him when it comes to choreo.
