Does anyone else find it confusing and difficult to find any results for nationals?

I keep finding links to tell me who's in first after the ladies short but there doesn't appear to be a list of who came where and their marks?

Can anyone help? I know there's a thread in the Events section but it's 22 pages long and having looked through some of it i couldn't find anything.

Okay i've managed to find it. You get swamped with links for videos (which you presumably have to pay for) before you finally get a tiny link to results!
Yeah, what they really want is for you to sign up for Icenetwork.

The icecalc site was better as you could see the total scores of each skater carry over. On this you only see the skating order. If they want to alienate fans, which they cannot afford to do, they are doing a good job of it.

Last year, I complained bitterly about not having a basic ISU-format icecalc site to watch U.S. Nationals results posted live, and noted how it diminished my interest in my own country's nationals. This year, my interest is even less for the same reason, but I'm beyond caring enough to be irritated -- I'm numb and don't give much of a damn.

The link Ant provided is the best thing I've found, though I got to it by going to Icenetwork first.

Icenetwork site has so much more stuff than one can easily find. It's also not clear how/when the USFS site has unique information. For detailed protocols and results, I think one needs to go to the USFS site and leak to 'events' then go from there.

Yes, the USFS site pretty much wins the prize for "Worst designed site in the history of the internet." You can't find anything on that stupid thing! I gave up trying a long time ago.

Sorry to say I agree it's the least user friendly of all skating sites I use. Surely someone over there can find a way to direct link to what the fans are most interested in seeing. The question then becomes - do they even know what those things are?

Here's a page that regional group of skating clubs to make it easier to find what they were looking for.

http://www.neicc.org/us figure skating easy links.htm

Fans will mostly be interested in the Events and Results, so you might want to bookmark that page instead of the home page:
http://www.usfigureskating.org/Events.asp

For athlete bios, try going straight to:
http://www.usfigureskating.org/Athletes.asp

Doesn't help with the problem that the search feature on the US site is next to useless, unfortunately.

I don't know why the USFS can not do what the ISU does. Print the skating Order, Print the results of the SPs (cd, od) showing total points, and the new skating order, then the results of the LP (FD) and finally the RESULTS of the competition.

I´m so glad about the above complaints as I thought that something was just wrong with me for having such big problems in finding anything on the USFSA site....

It's more than just the total results. It's about the individual sectors of a given competition. I believe Canadians use the Skating Order, Results as the ISU does. I think the USFS should also.

After YEARS of looking through/searching the USFS site, I think I can find almost anything on there now.

USFS usually publishes the detailed protocols on their individual event pages for Regionals/Sectionals/Nationals sometime after the competitions have ended. Here's the link to the 2009 US Nationals event page (the protocols are linked from the Event Information box): http://www.usfigureskating.org/event_details.asp?id=37784

For convenience, I've organized the links to the 2009 US Nationals complete results and Novice/Junior/Senior protocols in this one post: http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showpost.php?p=365949&postcount=4

Yeah I totally agree!! I can't find anything on that website so I don't even bother going there. I don't go to Icenetwork.com either because I can't find anything there either.. Also ISU.org is getting weird too, I can't find the 4 continent result page... Maybe they are trying so hard to drive skating fans away from the sport.

I used to post on the USFS message board all the time but ever since Laura left, it got really weird and I never post there anymore.

That's usually the best solution. Sign on to Golden Skate and ask somebody where to find stuff! :agree:

You are so right have been looking for those protocolls for ages...now finally ihave them and can match them to the videos....
