Toni, the town of Lebanon, Kansas, was named after the "Cedars of Lebanon," which are mentioned several times in the Bible (1 Kings 5:9, for instance). Solomon built the temple from this famous wood, which he had shipped by a sea route along the coast, then transported overland to Jerusalem.
Too bad Detroit isn't on your list. Detroit was the site of the original Garden of Eden (Geneis 2:10). The four "heads" into which the great river was gathered is the Great Lakes system. When Adam and Eve sinned (Gen. 4:24) they were driven out of the Garden eastward and forced to live in Ohio. This is why Kwanfan 1212, an Ohioan, likes Michelle Kwan's program "East of Eden so much.
