(Videos) 2007 Nebelhorn Trophy Pairs

I love S&S short program, so original. Evora-Ladwig's choreography is also very unique.Kirkland & Radford are very promising, very good skating skills, flow and speed. Love the music of Vise &Trent's SP.

Duhamel & Buntin look a lot better than at their Canadian team test a few weeks ago! It's really hard to believe that they've only been together for three months including injury time out, and Meagan only did pair on the side for two years prior to this.

Their throw 3Z looks great (+GOE), even their lift was level 3. Only the step seq (level 1) needs more work.

I look forward to their performance at Skate Canada.

D/B have a very nice interesting routine but those flailing arms all over the place are annoying me. Did morozov do the choreo or if not who did?

long programs

long programs have been added. I don't really like S&S' long program, especially compared to their SP. The music is very boring, and the choreography is lacking their trademark originality. Too many crossovers. The program does not have their usual flow either.

Duhamel & Buntin's LP link points to their SP.

I see why S&S scored so low (for them) in the LP, they had problems with almost every major element. I'm not sure that the music, choreography, or the costumes really work for them either. They're not good at slow and lyrical: it takes a certain talent to maintain flow and intensity to skate to such music (a la S&Z, for instance), and S&S don't have it (yet). They need music/choreography that accentuates their strengths (power, speed, crispness), not their weaknesses (robotic movements).

Corrected Duhamel & Buntin's lp link. I agree with you 100% on S&S' long program. I love their short program, very nicely done.

Thanks for D&B's LP. I have to say that I like the first half better. :p Those lifts need work, though much better than at the team test.

But what's up with Criag's posture? I used to have the impression of him having good line, but with Meagan he somehow looks stooped and stumbling. Meagan can stretch out more and turn out her knees, point her toes, etc. But at least you get the sense that she's constantly paying attention to her presentation in front of the judges and the audience. But Craig... he seems like he can barely keep up with the faster bits of the footwork.

Thank you for posting all those videos! I really like S&S's short program but their LP doesn't quite have the same impact. Hopefully with time it all comes together for them though. That music is really beautiful for them. I'm SO proud of Amanda & Mark for skating so well in the LP and I think their SP has really great potential too! I can't wait to see both programs later this month in Reading. :)

Thanks for the videos, netnuts!

Savchenko & Szolkowy have a strong SP. Was that the throw 3-flip? The LP though, made me think "Hmm, this would have been perfect music for Bereznhaya & Sikharulidze!" Where's the choreography!

I had to close my eyes on Duhamel & Buntin's heavy/scary lifts, but they're doing awfully well for such a new partnership.
