Yulia's SP in the Team Event, with CBC comment: https://vimeo.com/106919278
LP team event, with CBC comment: https://vimeo.com/106915535

I could not help but notice how generally complimentary but lukewarm Kurt Browning was in his remarks about Yulia's long program, specifically his references to "smoke and mirrors" in her skating. I haven't listened to Browning commentate enough to be able to read between the lines of what he says. Is there anyone out there who regularly listens to his skating commentary and can you tell me what you think he meant by the smoke and mirrors remark.

I think what he meant was that she's somehow able to turn even e negative thing/moment, that could be disastrous for other skaters, into positive and sell it.

A link for a different type of "Sochi" video:

The "Nancy & Tonya" documentary hour by Mary Carillo now is available online in entirety.

It aired on NBC within its coverage of the Sochi Games.

(Alba, hope you don't mind this interjection into your thread. The old GS thread about the documentary has been archived, and starting a new thread didn't seem worth it.)

Question- Does anybody have Volosozhar/Trankov LP from sochi, by NBC? Not the one with Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, but this one with these commentators.. this is only a tiny portion from after their FS.. http://vimeo.com/89510751 ..

thx!

I can't help you out, but this backstage video is SO amazing! What a moment!
Nina Mozer probably the most successful coach of these Olympics, coming with 2 pairs, both of them winning Gold in the team and then going 1. and 2. in the individual
This is like a big family party right there.

Better if you download the videos on your computer, because the quality is much better rather than watching it on FB.

i still can't bear to watch Mao's FS here and her UNDERSCORED superb exquisite bells of moscow SP ..:(

OMG Alba I have just seen this now I had been looking for CBC's commentating on Mao's LP! Hearing these commentators brings back that feeling of tears again.

May I just ask who this british woman commentator is alongside Kurt and Brenda?
Carol Lane is the resident ice dance expert, coach of Gilles/Poirier.

hi alba do you have the NBC coverage for the singles both men and women sp or lp? :)

Yes, but the files are huge so I have put some of the girls and men here: https://vimeo.com/user28032405/videos/page:1/sort:date
and here: http://www.dailymotion.com/user/milo_immigrato/2
So, if you need a particular program/skater to see which isn't here tell me and I'll upload the file.

The girls are not with NBC coverage though. It's in German, but they don't speak a lot so it's ok.
Only Mao, Yulia and Kim are with NBC, which are already posted here. Maybe Mao is with CBC, I'm not sure.
Check the thread because most of the girls I had to upload on FB so the links are here.

WOW thanks Alba. I'm just really curious about what Johnny and Tara have to say about Mao's LP. the one i saw for Mao when i was backreading was with CBC. nevertheles thanks alba really really appreciate it! :)

This is a link with all the programs from Men and Ladies. For each skater they have different coverage, depends from how many videos per skater they had available. http://skating.mond.jp/comp/olympics/olympics2014.html

For Mao FS there are: BBC, Australia, Russian, French, Japanese, Chinese, CBC and without any commentary.
Unfortunately no NBC. :disapp:
