Wakaba Higuchi

GOOD LUCK WAKABA! Slayyy and get on that podium!!!

Bring back your costumes too...

Hey that's what I feared happened until the fall she had a good program, too bad but with his latest practices that was not good I suspected. So the JFS will abandon it as with Kanako Murakami or there is still hope? She had a lot of potential

Her job is not done. There is still a free skate to get through. I know Wakaba will want to skate well and help get those 3 spots back! Personally, I don't know if it was the camera angles, but I didn't feel the fire from Wakaba today. Seemed like she had more attack at CoC. But I think she can hang on if not move up a bit and leave a good final impression of the season.

I hope so too because it would be very sad if it ends so on one side I understand his resentment. His FS is great so we'll see
His best performance remains trophy lombardie for me

Not the spot going into the free I had hoped for, but I'm still excited for her awesome free program nonetheless. Go Waka!

Let's support Wakaba via twitter/instagram! I don't have twitter sadly but people should tweet their support for her! She ain't gonna see it on this thread :thank:

I am looking forward to watching one of my favorite free skates of this season for the last time. I just hope Wakaba can get over her nerves and skate it clean like she did at Cup of China.

German Eurosport are still smitten with Wakaba, even went so far and called her their favourite! They wanted her to medal and were disappointed in her scores.

I was disappointed that she did not score higher in SP. I thought she could have placed higher than some that she was behind.

I agree. I think she was a little lowballed, but I guess people are trying to excuse this by saying that she didn't have her usual spark. But like, I still thought it was a brilliant performance apart from the fall. And probably should've scored around 67-68. :confused2:

They didn't understand her technical score, because they liked her jumps. Performance wise they liked her, but prefer her long program.

Yeah, I don't even understand the GOE for her 3F? Four people gave her -1, why?? And I thought the PCS were also quite scattered. Some judges gave her all/mostly 8's, some all/mostly 7's. :rolleye: And only level 3 for StSq??

I agree with her TES score as she fell down and had a call on her 3F, but it's her PCS that I do not understand why is she inferior to Mirai or her performance is empty and Bradie?
What worries me is that if it is above 8 it's the last time we see it.

To remove my first judgment I have to watch her performance on TV this time and I think that although it was not the fire of the beginning of the season, it was not so bad.

Yeah, I don't even understand the GOE for her 3F? Four people gave her -1, why??

It has a ! which calls for -1 to -2 GOE as a penalty. So I assume they had the jump as +1 otherwise and deducted 2 points, arriving at -1.

On PCS, I just don't know. Some judges gave her 9.5 for interpretation, others 7.0. Surely even if you don't like something you can still see why someone else might and score appropriately...

I did question some of the Australian judges scoring, like giving Bradie a 9 for interpretation and composition.

Go Wakaba. I want redemption and a clean Skyfall. Don't worry too much about the spots and stay calm!

What a joy to see her skate with the fire we are used to seeing from her - I loved seeing that program skated again, and so wonderfully!

Seeing her so emotional after the program ended made me tear up too.

Thank you, Wakaba.:)

I am disappointed to have arte this, but what I read it was so emotional and moreover for the birthday of his coach, pity that it was the last time we saw his beautiful programs, to next year .

T_T

That should've been 75 PCS for Wakaba, and the StSq should've been lvl 4. Wakaba, you're 150+ in our eyes :luv17:
