Lovely program by Wakaba. Her 2A is insane! So high, so masterful. Not surprising that she is working on 3A. I really liked her dress, it suits her very well. She looked very beautiful.

I love Skyfall. I love her interpretation, the attitude, the choreography, the skating skills!

Me too!

Last season, I liked her snap and her power. This season I feel she's really found her style and I'm so glad (couldn't have been at a better time!)

The SP is solid and seems to work for her just fine, but I feel the Skyfall FS is where she's really going to shine this season. *fingers crossed*

Loved the FP, it's a punch in the face of all the princessy programs we normally see from the ladies, it's strong, sophisticated, just a bit sexy and so so well suited to her. If she's not Japan's #1 for the Olympics, I would be surprised.

wakababy's stsq to final spin is pure gold, technically extremely difficult, listen to the lyric, combined with choreo and her interpretation, 2 concepts "sky fall" and "stand tall" came out!
I love the lay-over spiral into lay-back spin (with "Sky fall" lyric, looking at the sky...), upwards projection thru the roof. They put choreo stsq before stsq, which is a brave and challenging design. the choreo stsq is genius ,felt like a teaser, a treat, a prelude to the femme fatale finale.

Fingers crossed, Wakababy can perform this program perfectly at important competitions and hopefully OG.

WAKABA !!!

She was amazing both days! She is going into the Olympic season with two awesome programs! I love them both! They suit her so much, and she performs them with such passion, exuberance, and spirit!

She didn't look good in the warmups tonight, but she nailed the FS when it mattered, for 217 points and a standing ovation.

Zagitova won by less than a point here, so those people thinking she is the only one who can challenge Evgenia at the Olympics... either need to rethink that... or consider Wakaba as a contender too...! Especially when those opening 2A's are clearly placeholders for 3A's...

I'm so proud of Wakaba! Two personal bests during the beginning of the season. I really hope she can incorporate a consistent 3A soon. I'll be updating the front page when I can!

So far this season, my fav programs are Karen's SP and Wakababy's FS lol... nostalgia or what!!

They sure all grown up fast. This is Wakababy's best program by far for me. She looks badass out there!!

It felt like a cinematic experience.

To be honest, I'm not too sure how I think about that SP yet, but that FS is really good. REALLY good. I look forward to seeing how it develops over the season!

I'm so happy Wakaba has great new programs for the Olympic season, and seems to have found her style. Last year, I just sort of lumped her into a group with other young talented Japanese skaters, but she is really making a strong impression this year. I don't want to jinx her, but gosh, if I were a judge and saw that program, I would have a hard time not giving it the highest of scores...

I've never been here but I came to say how happy I am for Wakaba's new programs. She is adorable and fierce at the same time. It's such a shame that Japan has only two spots for women in OG but I hope Wakaba gets one of them (and Mai or Marin the other one). Ganbatte Wakachan

Wow , it's so rare that a skater has two gorgeous programs these days. I felt in love with her SP but now I love her FS even more. Her team made a great choices of music and choreography.

Congratulations to Wakaba for her first medal this season. I expect many medals in the future.
