It is so different then being there. The TV shows everyone upclose and skating much faster than what they actually skated.

All those ESPN commentators all dressed up and sad to say goodbye. Hope NBC can at least equal that crew.

Wow -- then K&N must have been skating painfully slow, because they looked extremely slow to me on the tv during their FD.

Pffft. Scott squealing. Sandra making obvious mistakes. And the news caster guy - what is his name? he doesn't hold a candle to Terry Gannon.

I wasn't really sure but figured they must be retiring. Is Gannon not coming back either? What a shame. Sure hope they don't hire Scott & Sandra.

Ggranny - they're not retiring. NBC has picked up the TV rights for skating. I'm not sure if ABC is doing anything next season, hence the "goodbye" tone of the Worlds broadcast.

NBC invited Dick over to do some fluff stuff at Nationals, so he's likely the only crossover. Terry is contracted with ABC and has other sports that he covers. Peggy is out of luck. I wish NBC would pick up Wylie and Wynne. I think they bring a lot to their respective disciplines.

i'm sad that dick button doesn't like yuna this season at all.
i guess her programs aren't as exciting as last year, but still... he didn't say a single nice thing about her at all(short)! just pointing out her flaws.

sad because i respect his opinions. oh well.
