That's true, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for any announcements. Their team seems to know what they're doing, so I'm really anticipating it. As for the team event, I'm also unsure. They skipped out on WTT this past season probably to prepare for the Olympics so it shows that they're taking this season very seriously. Yu/Zhang could also easily be sent to the team event instead because they're a solid team. Chinese pairs don't even do B competitions so that's why I think they may just train the rest of the time before February... It's just frustrating as fan to have to wait for news like this

Me neither, I'm so anxious for the Olympics. So many things are up in the air after this competition that it's making me anticipate the pairs event more and more. Still surprised that it's their first Olympics, but better late then never. Like Wenjing said in the Pairs SP presser, they're both still very young for a pairs team.

They are very young to be this succesfull, true. But they are competing in seniors so long it doesn't feel that way at all I've seen two photos out of this photoshoot, would love to see more :luv17:

It's true, they're one of the youngest competitive senior pairs but have actually been together the longest - since 2007 (10 years!!) It's crazy to see their progress as well as anticipate their future
I hope Beats drops some new photos too, they look super cool. Makes me want to whip out my own Beats headphones and listen to music with them

Speaking of waiting for new information, the Pairs FS presser was just released.
To summarize: Cong is disappointed with his 2 errors, but they are proud of their performance in the free skate. He said each competition has the same importance, and they want to keep improving their levels, says that they understand that there are times that they will get good results or bad results.
Wenjing acknowledged the strengths of the other two pairs on the podium, says they may be less experienced due to their age. She wants to acquire the skills they excel at.

Nothing too concrete about future plans, but glad to see that they're not too upset at their results. They answered all questions in Chinese rather than English; they were pretty serious in this press conference

Cong always knows what they are doing and what to do, right?
They really skated very well today, still proud of them, they are growing more and more superb during all these years. Every time I recall the picture of that cute cute girl with a huge panda in her arms on 2010 SA k&c, I can't stop smiling. I have a wish, they may do some lovely programs in the future, they're (especialy wenjing) still the age that can totally handle, am I right?

I checked the geoblocked videos; turns out they are blocked in every country of the world except Taiwan Maybe one of us can download it and re-upload it somewhere private? I'll still look for a solution

Congrats on silver; they've never done better than a bronze at gpf before, so still an improvement.
For some reason, I do think S/H are considered the favorites still. Either way, it's good to have close competition.
I don't want them to bring back the quad throw. Sui should "rest" her ankle a bit longer, and it's just too risky trying it now. Their fs performance was not their best. And yes, I agree with an earlier post that doing shanghai trophy may have worn them out coming into this event.

According to Skating Scores they still have the most consistent scores of the season so far which is nice to see, there's really only a 4 point variance between all 3 competitions which could've easy been covered w/o the mistakes in the GPF.
I'm also with you on the quad throw, I can only see them doing it if they really need one last possible point grabber.

I don't even know why it was blocked by ELTA anyways. It's blocked everywhere except for Taiwan...

If no other recording pops up, maybe I can use the German broadcast and upload just their performance somewhere else with an unlisted link or something... Otherwise I don't know how else we'd be able to see it

Yup, it makes no sense that all others videos you can watch normally but not them :disapp: I'm glad I had recorded whole Pairs event on TV, though I thought it makes no sense to do that at the time... but still did just in case.

That's good! I'll try to take the german video and maybe cut out a private or unlisted video so people can watch it if they want! Seems to be the only way
