Yes, I love Nick Drake... It is a shame he is no longer in this world. One wonders about contributions he would have made had he lived. I must say that Black-Eyed Dog is my favorite of his songs.... Something about it reminds me of old folk songs out of the American south... And this makes me smile!
I listen to everything posted in this thread...I like Hello Nico. Have bookmarked it for repeated listening...

Boston many years ago rode the elevator with him at the medical center where I worked, crowded small space.. he was hunkered down at the back (? Hoping no one would recognize him?) but he was unmistakable... I was struck dumb so never said a word... others in the lift did not either but were of another generation. :sad21:

Wow! That is a memory to have!
And don't worry, I can understand you being too star-struck to say anything to him. I am always the same on the rare occasions that I come across somebody remotely well-known.
But, such a shame that nobody else realised who he was. I may not have been born at the time, but I know that that was an era of great music. And the people that made it should be appreciated, not forgotten.

Yessss that's a great song. My personal favorite is "Northern Sky." A simple song, but it always bring a smile to my face, and I have a lot of good memories associated with it. So happy to meet a fellow fan in the wild -- most people I know have no idea who he is
