Some people say this is the best song Joseph Haydn ever wrote. It was later determined that it was actually composed by a Haydn admirer named Romanus Hoffstetter (no relation to the character on TV's Big Bang Theory), who in turn swiped the melody fro the opera Orpheus and Euridice by Gluck.
