What are you listening to right now?

Larry Adler & Itzhak Perlman. playing Gershwin's Summertime.... this is really music for the gods.

I think I need to go to bed. I read that as Telly Savalas :laugh: :o: :slink:

But, before I do. I posted this in the GP Helsinki Ladies SP thread earlier. And since I did listen to it, I suppose I should post it here too:

I just had a crazy thought.

Wouldn't it be great if somebody skated to my favourite Charlotte Church song:

Seems kinda appropriate after what we have seen in this SP...

EDIT: Turns out this Vevo video is geo-blocked. So, here are some other videos of the song you can try to see if any of them work:

I'm on my Queen trip.

This happens every now and again. I'll binge-listen, it'll be the only thing I'll listen to for several weeks, then I fade out to other music and then a couple of months later I dive headlong into it all over again. And I get to fall in love with Freddie Mercury's voice like it's the first time all over again.

This has to be my least favorite month of the year except for Thanksgiving which brings some level of comfort..
At this time I usually haul out my boxed DVD set of Rumpole of the Bailey with the stellar Leo McKern expounding on the joys of being married to "she who must be obeyed".. and watch them thru the winter.. Rumpole loved poetry and recited passages trudging to chambers in the morning. This is one favorite, spoken as he walked scattering leaves under his feet...

No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member;
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds!
November...
(Thomas Hood)

So, reposting a favorite song here again... in keeping with the late autumn season

The Raven. ...
