Where did Cynthia Phanuef go?

Is it just me or was she not really around on the scene this past year? I remember that last year during the grand prix season everyone was talking about how she would be one to watch going into the olympics. Cynthia and Joannie seemed to be revitalizing Canadas medal hopes in the big competitions, but I havent seen or heard anything from Cynthia all season.

Competition wise, I haven't heard much, I know I saw her the other day on the Celebration on Ice tour...

She missed the entire year due to a "minor" stress fracture in her ankle. I got the impression that she probably could have skated at Nationals but obviously wouldn't have been anywhere near top form. I think she decided to get back onto the ice by skating on the "low pressure" Celebration On Ice tour. Hopefully she will be back in peak condition for the start of the 2006 GP season!

She was resting from an injury this year, but I heard an interview and she says she will return to comeptition when she is ready. Wise to wait.
