Which Olympic champion had the most impressive long program?

I voted for Lipinski because she did a 3-3 and it was just so filled with joy.

For me it's a three way tie between Curry, G&G (1988) and T/D (1984). All three were utterly flawless and set new standards for their disciplines for decades.

I think the poll is seemingly about just single skaters from a limited era. It is really hard to judge skaters across disciplines, and time eras in any meaningful way. Orser had a better LP than Boitano, he won the LP but not the gold. The best doesn't always win in a judged sport.

Orser won the SP in Calgary but Boitano won the LP by a 5-4 split. Orser won the LP at Worlds in Budapest but still finished second overall.

For the group listed above, for me it's between Yagudin and YuNa. Both of them were the front-runners and held up under the monumental pressure, and neither skated conservatively: both gave their all. Also, they happen to be skaters whose style I love. Yes, Lipinski did a wonderful job, but her style was a bit little-girl for me, especially in comparison to Michelle, whose Lyra Angelica is one of the great artistic masterpieces ever (and is pretty good athletically, too). By contrast, Yagudin and YuNa I could watch again and again.
