Yes, I think a change in the title of this thread is needed. By no means is Adam guaranteed the title, but the current title sounds a little...funny.
To the OP, Adam does indeed have the 3A, but that isn't the most important part of skating. Look at the scores he's' been gettting without it (or a quad for that matter). It's not necessary for juniors.

Thanks Sylvia--anything I can find on him is gold. I also saw his attempts at the 3A at Nationals and if he can win (or almost win) all season w/o the 3A, he could very well do the same at Jr. Worlds.

Brezina is from Czech Republic. He skated at JGP AUT, where he finished 7th behind Brandon Mroz and Jinlin Guan, scoring 155.20, and at JGP GER, where he finished 2nd behind Brandon Mroz, scoring 176.43.

Last season he was 5th at JGP in Haag, where he landed 3 axel for the first time in competition. Second JGP in Liberec was very dissapointing for him, he was 6th after the short program but terrible skate in long program throwed him down to 16th place. That season he also won Bavarian Open and was second at Gardena Spring Trophy.

This year he shined at Nebelhorn Trophy and his silver medal in JGP Chemnitz was a confirmation of his qualities.

What will be the chance of Reynolds making it to the podium?

Best case scenario: he pulls off 4-3-3 as well as 3a like he did at Nationals in his LP.
Worst case scenario: he falls a couple of times and no basic skating skills to back him up in PCS.

Kevin has made a major improvement in between elements since last year, but they are still not strong enough.

What will be the most likely standing of Balde and Ten?

Kevin landed the 4/3/3 at Nationals, but....he also fell on the 4S, underrotated and fell on his first 3A attempt, and singled his second. He also did only a 4S/1T in the SP and got -GOE on his other two jumps, including the 3A, in the SP. What will hurt Kevin are the fact that he cannot do quad and 3A in the SP, and his PCS scores are mostly in the lower 5s.

Kevin hasn't had a clean FS in 3 tries this season. If he is way behind after the SP and he can't do a reasonably clean FS, his low PCS scores will bog him down there, too. It isn't impossible for him to make the podium if some of the other men falter, but it might be hard for him to win, because Rippon and Mroz have been very consistent all season.

Is there any youtube of Kevin? What I'm reading is that he will take the ice and do 3As and Quads and then fall on a rocker change counter. Hey, that would be a nice transition into an Axel.

I am hoping for lots of youtubes from the actual competitions.

Well, the only skater who has defeated Rippon this season, Artem Borodulin (1st at the JGP in Sofia, Bulgaria to Rippon's 2nd), has been added to the Russian men's entries as of today. Borodulin broke his ankle this past November and had to withdraw from the JGP Final and also missed Russian Junior Nationals in early February. (Borodulin has replaced Vladimir Uspenski, who was 3rd at Russian Junior Nationals.)

I agree with you. The headline assumes somebody will win over him. He is artistically far above everyone else. He also seems very consistent in his jumps. I believe he'll win in a runaway.

Thanks for the info. I set the clock anyway, got up and watched some of the early skaters. An Austian and a German did quite well but then icenetwork went dead. i'm blearyeyed.
