Actually I ended up switching to the Westin when rooms opened up there so I can get points and hopefully a room upgrade since I am in their club. You can still meet me though because the hotels are fairly close and I am not opposed to making my way over there.

Welcome Emily! I have been chatting behind the scenes with Emily and she is absolutely as delightful, intellegent and well mannered as she sounds in her posts.(Of course, she is from WA like me!) This is her first comp. so lets all help to make it a good experience for her. She would enjoy meeting as many of us as possible and I am sure we all will have tips for her. Tip one. Make sure you know how to turn off the flash on your camera or cell phone! LOL! Sounds odd but some cameras will reset themselves to flash mode when cycled off and on...tip two, hang around Mrs. P and Doris. They know way more about skating than I do...

This is my first Worlds and Im super pumped!!! I arrive on the 29th and leave 2nd. I m super pumped to watch Ice Dancing - Cizeron/Papadakis, Shibutanis, Poje/Weaver!!! Gosh it's gonna be brillant. They are all deserving of the gold. I can only imagine when Shibutanis do their crazy swizzle sequence the crowd will be roaring!!!!!!!!!! My heart us pumping just thinking about it.

Tammi, are we still allowed to bring in unopened bottles of water? The updated info in today's email from the LOC suggests that we are not, but was wondering if you could confirm. Thanks!

3 more weeks left until I'm in Boston! Will be going with my mom and I'm trying to think of what I'm going to wear. I know for a fact I'm going to wear my black high-top converses and black jeans...I'll try to sneak in wearing knee high socks over the jeans if I can sneak them past my mom....come on, figure skating fans are tacky. We deserve to wear tacky stuff!
Speaking of what we're going to wear, for those who have been to the TD Garden for Nationals or other ice events, how cold does it get in there? I'll go with layers to be safe, but if anyone can advise that would be great.
As for a golden item, I bought a yellow knit cowl scarf to wear from Etsy. I figured that would be practical if it's cold in there plus it's nice to support those crafty types.
