Will a month of John Nicks be enough for Sasha to win?

I agree. Sasha leaves me impression that she is very emotional or impulsive person in life.

She was seen in Lake Arrowhead recently. Rumor was she was not able to bought ice time at either rink (her home rink and ice castle). She skates at both rinks where she can get slots of time. Not sure if it's pure rink time issure driving up to Lake Arrowhead takes long time and exhausting, so I heard, but fortunately her family was with her.

Sometimes I feel she pays too much attentions to what her competetor dose, such as borrow her competetor's signature moves: Sarah's change edge camel spin, Michelle's COE spirals, etc. IMO, too much concernning what your competetor doing is a sign of "lack of confidence". JMO.

Yeah everyone borrows it seems like. Sarah/Robin borrowed everything she's done in her programs. Of course they never looked as good. Now I kind of wish Michelle would borrow some moves from some of the guys.

Well she kinda did at first with Nicole's spiral didn't she?:) But what other moves in particular do you want to see her borrow?

With such short notice before Nats she probably could get the ice time. She may have better luck after Nats. I've heard she's leaving for Nats tomorrow probably because she can get more ice time up in Portland. Normally you don't see her till next Tuesday or Wednesday.
Can't blame her. There is a bit of jet lag between NYC and Portland. So the sooner all skaters who have long trips get there the better for them.

I really think Sasha will be fine. She has skated in so many competitions now. She is one of the two top contenders. She is a seasoned skater and she should rise above any adversities. She will!!

It's not the same for Yebin Mok or even Bebe who do not have that seasoning yet.

No, but they don't have the expectations, either.

We don't know what their expectations are. I have to presume to win. They are athletes. But I can kind of agree with you that WE don't have the expectations.

Even Ye Bin said in an interview she didn't have expectations because she's been recovering from injury and has been working hard trying to get her jumps back. It's the same for BeBe who still has back pain. They finished 1st and 2nd at Sectionals, but reports said they weren't impressive. Both of these skaters know they aren't 100% but will do the best they can.

Well Sasha always skated at Lake Arrowhead

Sasha did the spin as a junior. You can see that at her Junior Nationals tape.

[ Michelle's COE spirals,]

Michelle is doing Sasha's spiral this year and she totally copied Nicole's a few years back.

The "Lack of confidance " should apply for skaters all over the world because they copy each other..JMO

Yes. When she was taking lesson from RA before she left Nick. But this time around she diddn't not appeare at Lake Arrowhead, until TWO weeks before Nationals.

I diddn't see her doing it at her first Senior National, where she competed with Sarah.

If you go through Michelle's clips, Michelle did owne spiral long before Sasha did it on TV.

Copy each other only couple of examples, I gave here. There are mind games played in warmup and official practice sessions. The collect info I've read through the web (SashFan included) and the imagines she gave out at K&C and interview (2003 after National interview with Peter together with MK, SH. 2003 World's backstage shooting after she knew Fummie placed ahead of her. 2004 World's she lost the gold sitting at K&C with Robin, etc.), IMO, all showing deep down she is not that sure of herself. If the rumor is true that her parents (especially her mom) made a lot of decition for her, then I don't think it to far fetched that the 'lack of confidance'.

I would love for her to borrow from her training partner..JB. Borrow from the guys because they are the ones doing interesting moves.

First of all, I think it's silly to say that there is no pressure on Sasha this Nats. Sasha wants to win Nats and beat Michelle just to prove that she can skate at the elite level. Then there are the youngins snapping at her heel like Kimmie and Katy. Another pressure cooker is that Olympics is just around the corner and no doubt Sasha is thinking about that. The pressure is being instigated by Sasha herself for wanting it too much and this has been her nemesis.

Perhaps, if she doesn't worry so much about "planning for success" and instead just "plan to skate", she might even win. JMHO.

Barring a shocking turn of events, I think most of us can agree that Michelle and Sasha are going to Worlds. But who will get that third slot????? That may be the biggest mystery of the competition.
