I vaguely recall a treat that was squares of ice-cream-cone material with the vanilla filling, but not using cookies. Are they eaten by hand? And doesn't the ice cream melt and run out? (Or am I picturing that just because I'm a slow nibbler when I eat. My parents and brothers used to tease me by calling for the cat because there was a mouse in the dining room.________________________________________
Ice cream sandwiches are a longstanding tradition. The classic is vanilla ice cream and chocolate cookies. You probably haven't noticed them because of the chocolate.
They aren't messy to eat as long as the cookies are soft so they don't crumble as you bite into them.
