Hi: What part of you are you trying to build up or improve on, leg strength, endurance, whatever, and is it specifically for your skating or just general health? How old are you, and what do you do in your daily life -- sit in school or at an office desk, work a job that has you on your feet a lot, run around after small kids?

Hello!
- Leg strength, core and overall tone up I'm out of shape from a long break. I work a desk job - cue 9-5 by dolly p.-, I'm 21, and skate 4 days a week and I'm starting to workout on the off days. But right now I just do stuff on the treadmill and elliptical Lol

When I had physio for back spasms after a car accident, I found using the therapist's huge beach ball (don't know what it was officially called, but it was chair height only wobbly) was the best for regaining core strength. It was good for leg strength and balance also. I'd sit on it and she'd have me raise one leg or other, bend over to the front and sides, twist at the waist to look behind me while using leg strength to keep the ball from rolling. It was a challenge at first, but it worked.

Hi! Whenever I have leg day, I usually work with the bosu ball to improve stability. On the bosu ball, i do sets of weighted pistol squats to also help with my sit spins and I practice doing my spirals to pistol squats for balance. For strength, I recommend doing leg presses or leg raises with the machines and also stair master for endurance! Hope this helps :)
