Well, it seems he need not have worried - it's funny how, when skaters elect to retain a program, this news is generally met by groans and complaint (even by those who actually liked the program), but this news seems to be met with near-universal acclaim. At least, I've yet to see one "Oh, no - Why?!" comment - which means, of course, that now I've said this, the next thing I see will be someone disappointed at them keeping it.;)

I was trying to hold back. ;):slink: I love the program (far more than the SP, for sure). I just think they all tend to lose the magic after you've seen them a dozen times or so. Therefore, I am generally anti-recycling unless there are extenuating circumstances like money problems, or if someone missed most of the previous season due to injury, etc. But better to recycle this program than a bad one, for sure.

I feel exactly the same way, both about this particular program and about retaining excellent programs in general. And TBH I don't understand the difficulty in finding 4 minutes worth of music that will satisfy the skaters, the coach and the choreographer, considering that there's tons of beautiful music out there.

But on the plus side, I like the new SP music much better than their first choice. No Meditation, but a lot better than the first song. And no matter how many times I see them, it still takes my breath away how light-footed Yuko seems. She skates like an elf!

i think they should keep it basically because they kinda never did it full justice - there was no perfect clean skate with everything just right (SA was close, but then it kinda had a reduced version of that spiral lift thing)

Their SP was so much fun to watch. I love how smooth they move, how every element is a part of their dance, they are simply amazing to watch- such a joy to watch pair skating when they skate like this. And the music sounds quite devine. Whoever thought it would be soppy- it is not. Great job.
