Can I just say how much I loved that Ina Bauer with the umbrella? :love:

Yulia can't stay a child forever. She may look young, but I highly doubt she wants everyone to treat her like a little girl. I think that's why she decided to test the waters with something more mature in an exhibition. If it were a competitive program, perhaps I'll say "She didn't quite pull it off yet." But as an exhibition, I think it's just the start of her growth.
 
Her mom wasn't there this time, right?

Anyway, as someone said to me: Don't be sad. Most likely, she'll be reprimanded by the federation, will get a bit of badmouthing from the haters, but I suspect it's nothing compared to how mad she is at herself.

So true. I hope that anger will fuel her to fight back. :love:
 
Folks, I hope she doesn't spend that much time on thinking whether she should go to this ceremeny or why she didn't do it as you all. And instead she thinks and works how to improve her skating performance. It's all about skating, isn't it? And not about PR in first place!!! She is 16 years old, she is an olympic champion, she had a really bad day at the office, she had the right, she had the right to forget, what't the big deal? She should concentrate about improving her skating form quickly and not be distracted with thinking too much about one missed ceremony. I thought this forum is about skating, not about rumors.
 
I really like her exhibition skate. :love: I couldn't hear the music because the Russian commentary did not shut up during the entire skate, though.

I'm glad that this is the final memory she will take away from this event and I'm sure she will bring her best feet forward in France.

I think this can also be said of Megapolis. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the dark and dramatic "city" sections of Megapolis unlike anything she has done before? My first reaction watching her Megapolis in the open skate was how incredibly far she has advanced from last year. I confess to doubts about whether she could sell the music's dark side when Megapolis was announced as her SP, such a contrast to the lyrical work she has done before. Well, she has succeeded stunningly, CofC was for me a performance of total involvement. It seems the sky is the limit for her artistically.

So it's one sentence and it means: do not miss for anything in the world the spectacle of various arts (the show?) of someone in love with you.

It's a bit difficult to translate. He is one of the best italian songwriters still alive.
Very much in love and influenced by the classic american jazz, which I love. So I love him too. :)

Yes. Conte is very much appreciated for his lyrics and people do give a their own interpretation of their meaning.
I don't know who chose that. I think Ilya.
In Russia they do listen italian music and this one is well known because it was used in the movie French Kiss.
If I'm not mistaken is the scene when she has lost the money, passport and everything and goes around Paris alone.

I still think it's Yulia's to lose. She has two wonderful vehicles with her SP&LP, but if she can't make it that's fine.
Not the end of the world. Important thing is to be ready for the nationals and Europeans.

I think Gold it is possible to reject - it will go to Japan to compete with Japanese and as there judge Japanese all of us perfectly know....

Since Adelina is also out of NHK. I think it will likely to be either Kanako or Satoko. Gold might have a chance if she lands all her jumps. :think:

I think Yulia has high chance at TEB.

Yes, the second place will be enough. I don't think that there will be the first - Julia never won against Lena at the international competitions on juniors... And here also LP isn't ready.

Have faith my friend :)

Either way I don't care. My only concern is her health and well being. The next competition that matters is Russian Nationals.

Oh, you were in time before my correction))) - I talked about juniors))) i.e. to tell that Lena very strong rival, and its LP already a in to skate (and very like to me).
But, I hope, that failure with LP, motivates Julya - at least on EX it was visible that she recovered.

Let at these "two Y" in this season everything will turn out.
