Yulia Lipnitskaya

Averbuch is definitely an opportunist, one of those guys that is always ready & willing to talk to the media about anybody.Maybe he's right and sure, he's entitled to give his opinion, but why is this guy constantly in the press talking about everyone? You recognize the pattern after awhile. I have never liked him as a person and I would never put much stock in his opinions.

this.

Averbukh says a lot that he was not forgotten. Fame is part of his business.
He is a prudent man. He decided that she will never be able to return to the first position. As was to be her lot of money will not do. It seems that now he relies on cooperation with another clan. In his opinion it is the students CSKA will occupy the first places in the next few years. Then it is clear that he thought it would be useful to step back from her and gave her such an unflattering assessment.
ITA. In addition I think that what he said has been to divert the negative attention away from him. It is known that he has been neglecting Julia and not fulfilling his obligations as her choreographer - no time left from his shows.... He puts the blame on her (talking her down, pointing out her weaknesses) so the blame would not be on him. He looks out for himself and himself only - way too much... there's a thin line between CYA and stabbing people in the back, to me he crossed that line. I believe in karma let's see how far this kind of behavior will take him on his career path. You should not bite the hand that feeds you..... He would not have been where he is if it has not been for Julia skating SL brilliantly last season. Just my two cents....

He's already worked with Radionova. But nobody will remember these programs in the future, that's the small difference with Yulia's ones.

Julia has had bad season, while Lena shined brighter than anybody.
But it's rather Julia's waldo dress, kite and umbrella, that's gonna remain in people's minds, not Lena's JLo program or Whitney "tribute".
It's great example of "it" factor, isn't it? :)

Btw., youtube user "мой канал" has some Russian TV news from last week's drama:

I especially like the compilation of several stations "Юлия Липницкая не уходит от тренера" ("Lipnitskaya is not leaving her coach").
There is even 13 mins long conversation with Russian judge expert about the whole situation (last vid).

I'd say Julia Viacheslavovna Lipnitskaya is somewhat big deal.:)

To be fair, I think Ilya is a good choreographer, still don't think he's great, though.
I think Peter Tchernyshev is the better choreographer IMO.
Any chance Yulia will work with other choreographers next season?

I have the feeling that a media freeze is under way and Yulia is going to dip back into the world of obscurity a bit.

Let's hope so. If there is anything that resembles Yulia's experience beginning with Sochi, surely it is Alice in Wonderland. Riddles without answers. Balls that are hedgehogs. Rules that change. A queen whose only response is to behead. One minute giant, next minute dwarf--but nothing ever fits. Even the Mad Hatter's tea party. As Cheshire Cat warned, everyone in this surreal world is mad. Some Russian tea, at peace with her family and Eteri-Dodgson is just what the doctor ordered.
