I agree with you. Although I'm glad that Yulia liked her music this year, I feel that the lp music in particular was a bit stagnant. No smooth or major changes in tunes unlike Schindler's List or Sabre Dance. In my opinion, a skater can have amazing jumps but if the music is not special, the program won't have an impact. I would love to post it on her VK but I don't have a VK account...however, if you or anyone else on here want to post it on her VK, please feel free to do so. I would love it if Yulia saw it.

I'm sure she can get it together. Like you said not for us because we'll still follow her no matter what but because she has the whole package and I know she can win a World title and Olympic title because she deserves it with her talent and more importantly her will and drive.

I did :rolleye: Sorry for I haven't asked for your permission, but when I was writing a message in Yulia's ask.fm, I referred that the video was taken from her fan thread at Golden Skate :) Wrote that a lot of people would like to see her in the ballet-like programme to the music like that and so on. Hope she watched it (I made a note that my message was not for asking but for showing her a video). And, as for me, I liked the video, just fell in love with the music and the routine.
By the way, I've been dreaming to see Yulia in Swan Lake for about a year. Her posture, lines, gestures, those ballet hands...I think that would be as close to perfection as ever. :luv17:

Let's say Yulia continues through 2018. What do you think should be her Olympic Season programs? I'll go first:

SP: Liebestraum, Fantasie Impromptu, Dark Eyes, or go back to You Don't Give Up On Love (a new interpretation would be interesting as she has changed so much).

LP: Swan Lake (Sasha can have R&J, but I think this music belongs to Yulia if she really wanted to go for it), Rachmaninoff, Romeo and Juliet, Firebird, a non-Schindler's John Williams piece.

Ex: Schindler's List? XD Fight Song, or BRING BACK KILL BILL.

Even though I've grown more used the idea of vocal programs, I personally think she should go for something timeless...some may call them warhorses, but they aren't called the classics for no reason. I think Yulia's Olympic programs, especially Schindler's List rank amongst the most iconic programs of all time...right up there with Mao's Rachmaninoff and Yuna's Bond. I think she has the potential to get back to that level again. I mean this year's programs were great for her, but they aren't that memorable...but Yulia is definitely the memorable type when it comes to skating.

I've got a few ideas, too (with costume recommendations :p):

SP: Meditation from Thais or Dr. Zhivago OST

If Meditation, I would suggest a fairly simple dress in a pastel color, maybe a very pale orange (bad comparison, but somewhat like the color of a creamsicle :laugh:?).

For Dr. Z, you gotta go with blue. I'm thinking a sky-blue dress with a dip-dyed skirt and long sleeves.

If Primavera, I would go with a very sparkly fuschia or light green dress.

If Valse Triste, lilac chiffon with several skirt layers in different colors of grey and purple.
