Cute:luv17: a doll ver. of yulia
May be the doll should become a sell product on internet, I am sure many yulia's fan want to buy including me:agree:
Hope the person who make the doll will make more different version of yulia.

It's a very nice doll for a fan to make, but it's long been my dream that proper plastic dolls of my favorite skaters are produced commercially, with several famous costumes per each. Also, glass figurines of beautiful unique elements and choreography. :dance2:

Does Stephane put on his own ice shows? If so..this collaboration may open the door for Yulia to perform in an ice show.
If Julia Vyatcheslavovna Lipnitskaya wanted to do ice shows, she would just snap her fingers and phone starts ringing. ;)

I've read eyewitness report how after Nationals she was sitting in locker room, skaters were passing by, going in and out, giving some autographs, making selfies, but the horde in the corridor was waiting for the main prey.
At some point, Urmanov went out, looked around astonished, sighed and quickly ran back into the room.
Even Olympic, European and GPF championship can't prepare you for the madness of Lipni-fever.

Show skating and competition skating are quite different from each other... and there are some social factors(like who controls the ice shows) that get a bit in the way of this.

It would be awesome! But I have a feeling we won't be seeing Yulia in ice shows or tv media appearances.....until at least after 2018. I can't remember where...but I remember coming across a Q&A when someone asked Yulia about perhaps doing Denis Ten's shows, and her reply was something along the lines of 'the timing of the show always inconveniently clashed with her training schedule (or pre-season preparations)'. So in all likelihood she was 'asked' to be in certain shows but had to turn them down, since 'training/prep for competition/2018' was/is her highest priority. But...you never know....I'm still hoping for an ice show or two... :yay:

listen to some songs from 2016 Eurovision and find 2 songs I really hope yulia will choose them as her EX.

I agree, it's just imho Julia is bigger than that. Popularity equals money, I bet if she expressed interest in shows, one butthurt producer-choreographer would be first on the line. :rolleye:
Anyway, I'm obviously very happy she elected to focus on training. Look in top shape in the pictures!

She would be an amazing show skater...but I don't think she needs it at the moment. She has the Adidas sponsorship, and maybe will get more. As long as she's not obsessed with a luxurious lifestyle (and there's no indication that she is) then it should be enough to sustain her training. It's ironic that such an introverted girl like Yulia has so much marketability. Must be that natural star quality.

Yes, it's very lucky that she got the Adidas sponsorship and can focus on training for now. But I don't think it's unusual for skaters with interoverted style to be popular. Johnny Weir comes to mind as another skater with such a style who was very popular all over the fs world. Actually, it's my favorite style of singles skating. (Not that I don't appreciate other styles, but it's my favorite.) And Yulia actually doesn't always skate in this style. For instance, her Elvis Presley SP wasn't introverted. Ditto the "Isn't it wonderful" exhibition number last year. She can do different styles very well. In fact, I always find it incredible when technical ability, artistic talent and artistic range coincide in the same person. No wonder Yulia is so popular. No matter what she's skating to she lives it on the ice. She has an amazing authenticity and charisma.

Urmanov says here that they have just come from Switzerland, where they worked with Stephane Lambiel, who choreographed Yulia's short program (so, he indeed choreographed only one of the programs, another is yet to be done).

Her struggle is clearly in her FS so it's really nice to see a coach taking such an active role in that aspect of her skating. She deserves that kind of attention and hopefully with it comes results ;)

I think the big thing is that it's not even June and both programs are done. That gives her over 3 months on the programs before the test skates and like 4 months till competition.
