Yulia Lipnitskaya

Do people really expect skaters to take all flowers with them, at home? :hopelessness:

p.s. Is someone making tech question or is it all about usless things? :rolleye:

I doubt it but there are other things you can do with them.

For instance, I would not be surprised if some skaters donate them to local nursing homes or hospitals. In the USA, i think both would be thrilled to have some fresh flowers to brighten the day.

I think giving them to the hotel is cute and perfectly acceptable, but may not be what all skaters do.

That's a great idea really. But I don't think they have enough time to deal with these things during competitions. Especially when away from home and you don't even know the place.

Anyway, I would like to read more about specific and important things about skating. Like her technique and how is going with her boots, any new spins, working on her SS, ideas about her new programs, etc.? It's funny because fans discuss so much about these things on forums and yet when they have the chance to address this directly to the skater they come out with some useless (no offence to anyone) questions. :disapp:

I once worked in a sport arena in college (part time job) and athletes gave us all their flowers.

Yulia's unlikely to answer such specific questions, she's working, posted a clip that's enough for me. For the rest we can wait till September.

"Red thread" is a thought - This is necessary to Yulia liked both programs. This is in response to the question of how she managed so emotionally to present the programme of the Olympic season.

Question - how is fighting the fear, the desire to quit. "I Can not wrestle, go do it. Bombs tonight, tomorrow will rise. Previously worried now easier to treat. After this season have nothing to fear. And quit - too easy..."

3A - neverever:biggrin:

There will be a new exhibition program.

At this stage consideration of ideas for new programs.

She looks great in that picture and it seems that she is in a good place these days!

I wonder how much ice time she is getting? Considering that the juniors are probably taking it easy somewhere else and other than Sergei, the rink should be fairly calm and prime for Yulia to take full advantage. If she starts getting her programs in April it will be crazy. Last year in September she hadn't even finished her FS yet and some of us were freaking out  I really wonder if she'll move on from Ilya or not.

That would be great, although I suppose the danger is she will perfect her programs... only to do a test skate, and have some stuffy old waxworks tell her "We don't like it. Do something else" >:-(

With World's just around the corner, I am saddened that the reigning silver medalist will not be there...

Well actually none of the reigning ladies medalists will be there. That's why when I came across the youtube video of 2014 worlds ladies medal ceremony some days ago I just felt so sad.:shrug:I miss them so much!

TBH last year she said they presented an LP which was not completed at the test skate. This time she will go there with a finished and solid program, I hope, and with something she really likes. So I doubt they will do that, especially considering the season she had this year.

Thanks lenok. :)

For some reasons I can't watch the video. :disapp:

Hopefully she can get someone from the Fed to come see the programs prior to her test skates and give her feedback.

Yeah... but Mao chose to sit out the season (and we don't know if she will return), and Carolina retired.

Julia is the only one of them who competed this year, so it's her absence I feel the most at this World's.

Hi! I'm a fan of Yulia since Sochi although I'm not new here. :)
I'm very sad I can't watch her skate this upcoming Worlds. I really miss her. Can I ask if she will compete next season?

p.s. sorry for the bad english, it is not my first language.

Yes, unless she is injured in training.

Welcome to posting mei 03 :) I look forward to seeing Yulia next season and expect her to have a pretty good bounce back year. I also will miss her at WC's this year but hopefully she can use this to grow a bit and maybe even fuel her desire to compete.

P.s. Your English is very good :)

Hi, mei 03. Welcome!

Yulia has reiterated that she will continue competing. From what a gather, she's currently reworking her technique. It is a "step into the wilderness," so to speak, as we don't know where this will take her... but I expect to see her competing next season.
