Watch her expression (!) in the segment from 1:04 to 1:08, so rich in feeling. Yulia is totally immersed in the emotion. I hadn't properly noticed the emotion in her face as connected to her skating before. Another dimension, every cell is involved. Next time someone complains that she lacks a plastered grin, gently let them know what they're missing.

If there was one thing that I wanted Yulia to improve was slow down a bit and learn to phrase the music better through her movements and position. Keep some of those position longer by accentuating each move and extension

Not that much because that is in slowmo but to hold some of her nice position longer. Like for example the Ina Bauer, I always felt it's done a bit too quick. Programs are very busy today and there isn't much time, I know that, but just keeping it a little bit longer, point her toes a little more and some slower arm movement makes a big difference, IMO. She has beautiful body lines and is so graceful.

To be fair she has improved a lot since 2012-2013. She was less frantic already in the last two seasons. That's why I'm confident she will continue in this direction. :yes:
