Yulia Lipnitskaya

Something about that position is just hers. I know billions of others have done it, but whatever. I'm in love. :)

Yeah, I have the exact same feeling.

Speaking about spins. I was watching today some of the programs of Sasha Cohen. She was gorgeous with her spins and she had different. She changed her spins frequently. I wish Yulia will come up with some new spins this year.

I would love to see her bring back this one where she fools you into thinking she'll do the Needle spin but then she releases and goes into the I-spin instead. It's pretty kewl!!

What a great work her mom and team are doing when it comes to costuming. She skates to the widely known (even in US) song "Dark Eyes" - black/red dress and some deceiving make-up transformed pale skinned, green-eyed blonde into hot-blooded Gipsy girl being subject of the romance. :)

Schindlers List practice for Skate Canada 2013

She skips most of the jumps and just delivers the choreography. You can see how she feels the music on a very intense level and other than a few awkward moments where she is coasting around you can see how she uses her movement to highlight the feel of the music. I think she is a natural at conveying the feeling to create an image rather than simply hitting notes. It's never overdone and it's never to create the appearance of feeling either. She simply lives and breathes this emotional style that we've come to know. It's almost like she goes into a trance in order to achieve it. The connection formed is on a deep level and lives in silence instead of being evoked from outward acting directed at the audience. It's very difficult to form this connection and risky because as we all know...it flies right over some peoples heads at times.

But she does change up her spins.

That's exh. I was speaking about competitions.

Plus she has reinvented her camel to go from a donut to a crazy full body Biellmann!!

and that's a video from her practice this year. I haven't seen it yet in competition and that's what I'm wishing for. ;)

To be 100& honest? I would like not to see the I spin for at least 2 season. It's cool and wow for sometime but not always suited and beautiful in every program. I guess that's not gonna happen though.

I'd be alright with dropping the I-spin since I'm sure she could still do another nice CoSp but I need the layback/needle spin. Please don't take that away from me.

I love that one too. She can use that with different kind of arm position for example.

You can see all the emotions on her face. She's living it.

Dear Julia Viatcheslavovna,
please come back on the ice as soon as you can to break my heart again and again.
I assure you, I won't mind.

:)
