Yulia Lipnitskaya

New photos "Yulia and animal" But... WHAT animal? OMG...

An exchange about the lion cub on ask.fm:

Q: Yul, is that a lion or a tiger on the photo, cannot see because of the sun??? Was it heavy?
A: A lioness, a real queen ))) Too heavy and impudent )

Q: Where did you get a tiger? :D
A: The prey comes to the hunter)

Q: Do you love animals?
A: A lot!

Q: Hello Yulia! Got a new pet?)))) Chopa and Persik will be happy XD
A: God forbid... Such a "miracle"...

Q: Aren't you afraid that she'll bite you?
A: She already did

Q: I think a lioness bite will give you new strength!
A: You really think so?

Q: Perhaps Hanyu should bite you too, just to be sure? :))
A: But for that I'd have to carry him around in my arms first :P

And a bonus:

Q: Yul', how do you manage to keep your nails so long? Give me an advice please.
A: Try not to gnaw on them

OMG!!! She's holding a lion cub and it looks very heavy! Who allows for and sets up such things :) Its amazing...she loves animals so much and gets to take advantage of these opportunities.

Thanks Geiger for the translation.... Her answers are so funny...especially the One about Yuzu! She is definitely an odd ball in a very very good way

What a great experience for her!

I really do think she looks a lot happier and more at peace in recent photos than we've seen in quite a long time :)

I'm actually at loss, because I just can't get it to sound as funny in English as it is in Russian. In the original her answer has a tone that an adult would have about carrying around an adorable baby :) She obviously feels this way about the cub, and the thought of carrying Yuzu around in a similar manner must have made her laugh.

I love Yulia, but In the case of Russian skaters vs big, frightening cats, I must say that Anna is still the winner...
:eeking: Yulia's approach is definitely safer and better. As far as I know they drug the grown up lions and tigers so that they can be petted. My animal welfare instinct is against that. And then every once in a while a human gets bitten seriously.

Thank you geiger for the translations!
The thought of Yulia coddling Hanyu like baby-Simba is just....:laugh2:

That lion cub looks at least 5 months old and would be quite heavy and strong at that point. I'm surprised they let her get that close...dressed in Adidas-zebra-stripes...:eeking:

Wouldn't it be awesome if (in the future) Yulia got to go on something like a worldwide safari adventure or visited a few wildlife sanctuaries....or maybe even make a few animal conservation documentaries (ala. David Attenborough)...Quick! Someone pitch this to her!

While charmed by the photos with the lioness cub, must say that this isn't wise on a number of levels... The world lobby against petting zoos / sanctuaries is very strong as inhumane and I agree 100%. "Tribe of the Tiger" by field biologist Elizabeth Marshall Thomas explains EXACTLY why this should not be done.
That said: Yulia's comment about Hanyu made me smile.
