Yulia Lipnitskaya

The filth comment refers to doubtful fan arts, which is not exactly appropriate here, I agree.
The anime itself has nothing to do with Yulia, anyway. She was JUST a model for one male Russian character, that's all.

Back to interesting topic, I agree that a senior B competition would be positive for her. Last year in Finlandia, she was not into her programs yet, so another test before GP would be positive. Especially since it will be her first programs with a new coach.
But then again, I guess we'll know soon. Don't we get entries for Finlandia in early September?

All these skaters coming out with new programs!!!! I can't wait any longer :bang:

Thank you for explaining a comment that mystified me too.

I also hope that Yulia will go to a B competition before SA. I think it's generally benefitial for skaters to get some feedback from international judges before the GP. Moreover, they can win some money and climb in the rankings and the judges' regard if they medal.

I'm selfishly hoping she will come to Finlandia again, but I think it's probably too close to Skate America dates.

She's not listed for Lombardia, US Int FS Classic, or Nebelhorn... so if she were to compete in a Challenger event before Skate America... the only other options are Autumn Classic in Canada, or Ondrej Nepela in Slovakia.

I'm guessing Slovakia would be (geographically) more likely?

Closing date for Autumn Classic entries was last Friday, so hopefully they will publish the list of competitors soon, and we will find out if Julia is among them... (and closing date for Ondrej Nepela entries is next Monday...)

I really hope she will be at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial. Last year she was on the list already, but then something changed and got off the list.

Yulia has obviously got a driving licence! (someone is congratulating her on this in her ask).
They posted a picture of her license on her VK fanpage. I'm surprised because we have a lot of personal information on ours in the US like address and possibly social security number which would make us vulnerable to identify theft and things.

She of course took a perfect picture unlike my drivers license photo :confused2:

:otopic: Does that mean what you have to update your driver's license every time you move? It would be a nightmare for me!

No....every four years we have to renew it though. We update any info then except for weight. No one tells the truth on that.

One thing I noticed on the license was that they spelled her name Iulia Lipnitskaia. Sup with that? Can I go back to spelling it Lipnitskaia again? And wassup with the Iulia? She's killing me y'all :)

That's actually is an interesting topic. My name was transliterated differently in my driver's license than in my Int. passport. But police officer told me that it's okay. There is two types of transliteration: Russian-English and Russian-Latin (as a language, it's used by police mostly). The main principles are the same, but there is some differences here and there. So, it's not unusual to see.

Edit: Here's transliteration tables: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanization_of_Russian#Transliteration_table Just find a letter 'Ю' and you will see that both versions are correct. And verbal spelling is the same no matter who you transliterate the name :)

Fingers crossed.

Depends upon which state you live in. We renew every 8 years and are supposed to get new license whenever our address changes.
