Yulia Lipnitskaya

It is good that they are doing blood tests and taking it seriously. I think it might be anemia it would explain dizziness, paleness of skin and cramps. Whatever it is I wish Yulia a speedy recovery!

Maybe she needs to eat more. She looks quite thin compared to last season

She looked extremely pale & weight drained in the k&k from the videos I saw, but no one seems to be mentioning it so maybe I should recalibrate my monitor...

He coach explicitly denied she had a significative weight loss

I think her make up was off in the SP, and then she seemed less pale in the FS. She is quite skinny, but she did gain some weight last year.

I haven't read the article via Google translater fot his exact words but words like large or significant are vague terms that mean different things. To me I could say significant means someone lost 5 pounds, to you it could mean they lost 15 pounds.

As a fan, when I saw her SP, I noticed that she looked to be at her Sochi size and when they did a close-up of her she looked very pale. It could have just been make-up or lighting and that's what I hope and not something medical.

Well, he did not disclose any numbers.
But i suppose it was maybe 1kg, not 5-10kg.

makeup or not, she looked extremely pale, and even had purple under-eyes. she looked ill. she was also very skinny compared to last season. maybe they were trying to make it look like she was in better shape, as the russian fed had criticized her for not being fit.

also, i really didn't like urmanov's behavior in the k&k after the free. he was completely inattentive to yulia despite that she was crushed and needed consoling. alexei was too busy hamming it up for the camera as if yulia didn't even exist. the thing is, he didn't even need to look at her to know she was distraught, he should've known. maybe he has a narcissistic personality disorder and lacks empathy for other people. come to think of it, i also thought it was strange when he goaded her into continuing the skate in spite of her knee.

i'm not high on him right now.

Did you even watch the videos and read the reports about what happened? He didn't goad her into doing anything, as explained before they didn't think it could be an injury that affected her during the program, that's why he didn't stop her. Also, THIS shows how "inattentive" he was with her. If anything he really didn't want to cause a scene during any time they were in front of the cameras, because he probably knows how well she fared in the past with the press.

And what's with the "narcissistic personality disorder"? :scratch2::tantrum:

Is she too skinny? Perhaps. But I'm sure they are going to find the best solution for her to keep her weight in order and stay healthy. And it's not like she was falling around the ice during the short program, with all the jumps in perfect order and the program being skated as well as she could.

There will always be "fans" who enjoy making up stuff out of nothing and blame the coach when something goes wrong. Just ignore those people, even it's hard to.

I'm not sure she looked too skinny. The girl is naturally very slender, compared to other skaters, that might cause a confusion. But to me she looked like normal weight. Or maybe the balance between body muscle and fat isn't there yet for Julia. That can easily cause complication and injuries.
At least, they're working on figuring out the bottom of the problem, so that she can hopefully be injury-free and in shape for Nationals.

Honestly I don't think Yulia was overweight before and I don't think she's too skinny now. She looked healthy and in good shape in my opinion
