Julia seems to be so, so painfully introverted ( in this interview and in general)... indeed, indeed she skated her Schindler's List not with her body but with her soul and heart and it is why it touched everyone and everywhere....unforgettable performance and unforgettable skater. Her simplicity and dislike towards fame or attention is remarkable. There are skaters for whom the main focus- though unconsciously- always have been to look good for their own eyes through the eyes of the the audience and thus, they are captured in the prison of performance anxiety till they succumb to it completely.

Shes the only skater I've seen to maintain private social media platforms at that level of fame, or pretty much at all for that matter.
Even in her youth she was very sharp with reporters and media.

Yulia married Dmitri Mikhailov. She has recently gave birth to a son.

I appreciate your observations. As an introvert I understand her completely.. but, not painful at all; just her (our) way. I suspect Lindsay Thorngren is the same..

And I also seem to remember something about Dmitri himself being engaged to someone else not so long ago?

Julia never was married and this is her first marriage. The same for Dmitri. Yes, she had a daughter with her boyfriend with whom she was not married. So, there is no any confusions or surprises.
