No compromises, Tutberidze or no one - decided girl. The girl was 10 and she succeeded. Eteri took them. In spring 2009 Yulia moved to Moscow. When Eteri says about Yulia, she always noted: first of all I see her character, and then abilities and talents. Phenomenal flexibility and inflexible character - brilliant combination. She is called girl with iron nerves, she is able to cut off all unnecessary - including fear. The quality of the real leaders.
The most serious challenge for Yulia was the pre-Olympic season. The whole season has been a continuous challenge. A series of injuries, which seemed no end. But she managed with it, and she was beautiful during Olympic season - 2 wins at GP stages, 2nd place in the GP final, gold on her first EC. Yulia was on 2nd place after SP, but brilliant FS with music from "Schindler's List" conquered the judges. Also Yulia choose this music herself.
Yulia: when we choose the music, we listen to a lot of music. And if you like some - you come and say it. And when "Schindler's List" started playing, I immediately started thinking and we with my coach decided - yes. Many people is dissuaded us, this is a bad choice, especially for the Olympics. But I insisted. At some point, even Eteri said: "Yulia, maybe anything else?" I said: "no".
