Do the skaters have to do both the SP and LP? It seemed that Yulia only did her SP last year.

Yeah and Adelina only did half her FS also...
Sorry if I sound stupid now, but what exactly are these test skates for? So the skating bosses can check if they've actually worked out a program and if they like it? Or so they can perform in front a little audience at least?

One of the comments below the video is so true. "Her teammate got the gold, but she won our hearts." Completely agree, except my heart was long gone after watching R&J FS in 2012.

And if they don't like it, the skaters will have to change their entire programs. This happened to B/S ice dancers, Tat told Zhulin to change their programs quite a few times.
But I think Eteri also have some says in the Fed, given how well her students have been doing, so I guess Tat will not say negative about Yulia.

IMO Tat was wrong about B&S. Anyway, I would like to see someone tell Yulia to change a program that she really like.

You know it's been a long week at work - I couldn't resist - I replied to that comment that if we are going to compare 1st appearances that I wanted to point out the ages of both girls.
I mean really if you are going to compare the 2, compare them at the same age what did Polina do at 12 vs. what did Yulia do at 12.
