The thing is, they were so embarrassed because the camera connected to the big screens. So their goofy faces were broadcasting to all the big screens in the arena and every people saw them acting so funny.

I read a short one about that. He held the mic for a long time to make speech. So he said it was like he were going to sing. Then everyone there asked him to sing. I think everyone in the audience was curious about his singing since he sings all the time LOL. But he said "No I won't sing" seriously. One report said he was so shy that he covered his face while saying this but the other report denied this. So we don't know.

I would really like to hear Yuzu singing too … first of all I would like to hear him singing the Japanese Anthem during medal cerimonies , other medalists have already heard him for sure, so they could tell about it!!

Based on how deep inside he feels the music ( please, read the wonderful interview Nicky 10 kindly translated) and tries to become one with the lyrics and the melody , I suppose he's a good singer too!

I've also noticed Yuzu called “Change “ a killer program... 14 yo Yuzu was already very good in SS and made Change seem so easy, effortless and fluent … and Baby Rapper Yuzu is to die for !

But Yuzu loves singing along so much, maybe he was just shy or thought it was not a right situation to sing (actually true). Hope we can hear him singing in the future.
BTW: I think the way he holds mic is really special. It is really a lot of fun to watch him holding a mic and asking people "did you guys enjoy?" Reminds me the JPop live concerts I have watched or been to. He becomes a real super star just like the title of one of his favorite songs

thank you for all the updates. i had to work yesterday so i had a lot to catch up to. happy that the shows went well, Sendai buzzed with activity the last couple of days and hopefully his hometown benefited economically as well. i wonder if they are going to include TOI or White Legend/Change to his DVD as bonus clips. hopefully they will so i could enjoy it in HD.

i wonder if they are going to include TOI or White Legend/Change to his DVD as bonus clips. hopefully they will so i could enjoy it in HD.

Since the TOI has created such innovative musical ice show ever, I suggest them to publish single performance in iTunes or Amazon with download format. Thus, worldwide fans can buy their favorite one(s) in net easily.

Besides, the fs performances DVD has a music copyright regarding different business uses. It usually take quite a long time to negotiate. It's impossible to catch up with the latest publishing date of Yuzu DVD in middle July.

But it seems only fair - they can't be talented at everything, right? As long as they're having fun though, nothing wrong with it. I hope we will get to hear Yuzuru doing karaoke at some point.

I think Plushy knows skating inside and out because he has competed in 3 different decades; his life is 100% devoted to the sport. So he understands how rare and special Yuzuru's talent is and makes his predictions with the utmost confidence.

Hee. Bless all for uploading these videos. I can't listen with sound right now but it's always a treat to see performers like Yuzuru visually feed off the energy of the crowd and the rush of a live performance. He turns into quite the little rockstar at these moments.

Also great was seeing him and Plushy glance over at the other at different points to synchronize their jump at the end.

No 3 doesn't work. Do you remember that Yuna was also olympic champion?
I agree that it is too early to talk about 4 years later. But we can always hope for the good.

Yagudin singing the Russian version of BSB's "How deep is your love" I would say his voice is soft and charming. Good enough.

I really want to know how Yuzu sings. But it seems unlikely to find such a chance. He seems to be pretty low key. He doesn't go to those entertainment TV shows. He doesn't have any new TV CM filmed yet, which is quite surprising.

Oh Lambiel... The song was hilarious too! (In case anyone's wondering--they changed the lyrics to the original song, which was about a successful businessman who once wanted to be an artist. Now it's Yann Lambiel singing as a mimic who wants to be a skater, and Stephane singing as a skater who wanted to be a mimic).

Not to fond of the single though. Too many electronic effects on his voice! And unlike Johnny, it's not like he needs it.

Plushy just sounds the same as when he's talking. I suspect it'll sound a lot worse if they were actually singing live. What a bizarre program, complete with Averbuhk's "Er, well..." expression after it was over. Navka's outfit was... distracting and not flattering. (Also, I made out the words "producer" and "Volgograd"? What on earth are they singing about?)

Lol, Johnny, what the heck? He's got a decent voice, but seriously needs to pick the right songs. Hint: If you have a habit of going out of tune, "Ain't no Sunshine" and "Before He Cheats" (in a totally different key to the music, to boot) are surefire ways to go off the rails.

Sandhu's not bad!

Alexei is, well... he's decent, but lacks power and is straining for lower notes than he can actually hit. But: The little girl inside me is totally squeeing at the thought of him singing at a candlelit dinnertable! Ah, if only I sat across from him... (Who is that girl singing with him? She's pretty good. Started kinda slow but I got into it when she hit the high notes).

Yuzuru bento is incredibly well-made and detailed. But I couldn't eat something so beautiful!

With J-pop and K-pop increasingly becoming popular these days, I'm glad Yuzu is an athlete (as a figure skater) rather than a singer. It would be impressing if he sung, but isn't it more interesting when something other than singing is popular?

With his Olympic win, more people became fans of figure skating around the world and I feel that's a lot more interesting than a new emerging singer (which happens quite often these days).

I totally agree. No discussion above expected him to be a singer instead of a figure skater. And we definitely want more his ice show DVD than his single CD (I won't mind buying one if in the future he would release one :think. He is definitely a genius of figure skating first of all. So are all other skaters singing being discussed here. We were just curious about other aspects of their talent.
