Notre Dame was not designed by Weir, as far as I know, he designed only Zigeunerweisen and R&J-2. Maybe Shaye-Lynn has thrown some ideas? Ahhh, actually, the more I look at photo of Yuzu with Johnny and think of all the shows together ahead of them,the more I believe the design will be johhnylike

I think Johnny talked about meeting David Wilson for R&J 2.0. It was around August 2013. The first news came from Johnny before London WC in Feb 2013.
 
The talk about costumes is giving me nightmares! And I have just come back from the dentist. :cry: How can I go on with this... :cry:

I think Yuzuru should wear whatever makes him feel happy and comfortable. He's never going to be able to please everybody.

Johnny's costume in 2004 was beautiful. Some may think the lace is too much, but I liked it. In this NHK competition, he got quite a number of Japanese fans including me :o: I suppose Yuzu's mom may be the same.
(I liked this NHK announcer and the commentator, Fumio Igarashi very much, by the way. Figure skating should be aired by NHK all the time. Sad, Mr. Igarashi retired as commentator.)

If Johnny could control his emotion about the decoration, as well as his obsession for asymmetry, it would not be so bad (I hope) :laugh:

Now, Yuzuru is in Makuhari, it's very close to my home. But I cannot go to see the show due to several reasons. Guys, just cry for me :cry:

I think and maybe our Japanese friends in the thread can tell more about taste in Japan, that Japanese people have actually very open minded about style.

I have seem a lot of style that is not very traditional in Japan: gothic, visual kei, etc.

If my memory doesn´t fail PG used Yuzuru in this costume in their CM, so maybe is just and old photo that they have from their old shoot

Johnny looked pretty much okay at that time, and he was very easy to the eye, too. :biggrin: so some of his costumes were forgivable.

Actually, I only have big problem with Yuzuru's R&J 2.0, and for the rest of Yuzu's costumes, I fine them kinda okay. Not a fan of the Notre costume but I don't think it reached the Oh My God level yet. :laugh: I mean I have seen worse outfits (Yagudin, Kulik...) on ice so it's no big deal. It's just the R&J 2.0 was so much above my level. :popcorn: but well, the kid liked it. :unsure: We couldn't do anything but accept it.

Anyways, it's not like I dislike Johnny fashion that much. I only hope to see the kid skate to new style of music, choreography and costumes. You know, I hope to see a totally different image of the kid.

What impressed me most about Yuzu's costume is the level of detail.

The moment that I fell in love with his R&J2.0 costume - those laces are delicate and beautiful:

You got a point with the PW costume. Brian Orser did mentioned about trying other styles with Yuzuru, so we might get to see a different side of him (maybe involving with costumes as well). I didn't mind his past costumes as much, even the R&J 2.0 was a costume I could tolerate. It's just the recent-not-confirm-design-art kinda threw me off and it's literally something I can see Johnny designing for Yuzuru. Sorry, my personal preferences for fashion can get intense. I'm just gonna warn you guys now. Don't mind me. Carry on.

I don´t think someone so selfconcious as Yuzuru will let that much skin being show.
 
personally I refuse to get worked up over possible costumes until we know more about the music :biggrin: but I'm already looking forward to the crazy speculations we'll get as soon as we know the themes for his new programs.

I was looking at the selfie with Johnny and I noticed that Johnny's skin almost looks as flawless as Yuzu's. I know that Johnny likes to use expensive face products like La Mer...I wonder if he and Yuzu exchange skincare tips too? :laugh:

Well, I think that is just a fan art. Johnny Weir wouldn't leak his idea that early.
