I really love the way this song sounds in Japanese. And I love how it is a very heartfelt and sort of personal and maybe even intimate at the same time. Yuzu skating it like a close person talking to every person who had lost the loved ones, who experienced damages. It's like streching out hand to offer support and understanding. I really do understand the purpose of this program and how it had to be with less jumps, like only when you overcome your pain and dispair, only when you start to build your life again- it's only when you get the strength to fly, to jump again. I love how it was made like that.:)

Artistry is like in Lambiel's blood. :biggrin: something can't be learned. But for sure you can improve your own strength and overcome your weakness to become better.

Personally I think Yuzuru has his own style, very different from Lambiel, he could never become a second Lambeil or a second Plushenko or Weir, but he has some certain good qualities of all three of them.

He can become a better Yuzuru in the next quad, for sure. And that sounds more awesome. Because nothing better than being yourself.

Agree. Yuzu is special and he should stay true to himself. :biggrin: All that I am saying is that I hope that he could raise his level of posture polish to another level. Since he mentioned a few times that he is working on it, I am sure he will become better in this regard. :love:

And, I am also confident that as he becomes more mature and has more life experience, he will be able to develop his performing/acting skills, for example, demonstrating emotions at a deeper level.
 
I really liked Hana wa Saku! I'm the complete opposite of Gallavich--this is the exact type of JPop I like (I like Change too, but not so much the other songs from ToI). In fact, I enjoy it more than Hana ni Nare (costume aside). There are aspects of the choreography I would've changed (different spin position, add one more jump?), but overall Yuzu looked like an angel skating in that glowing light.

3 hours of training and you become an angel after one take, sounds like we should give the cameramen and lightning director LOTS of credit. :laugh: They surely did a great job. Bonus kudos for the main director and video editor, too. :popcorn:
 
Oh yeah, a lot of credit goes to the director. :laugh: It could still be better, of course, if they had more budget (background still a bit cheapo-looking). But all credits to Yuzu for floating around that rink. I think this should end any debate any Han Yan's 3A being better, too. :cool: In all seriousness, I did like the EX. I don't want him to do more of the "fragile flower" skates, per se, but I haven't gotten tired of it yet.

I love how his expression chances from the beginning, where I get the feeling, that he's looking back to the end, where he's looking forward (to the future)

And because someone mentioned that at the end, when he's holding the flower it's like he's holding a newborn baby I can't get that image out of my head again... how he holds a baby and looks at it like he looks at the flower and in the end that proud expression on his face :laugh:
 
Do we know for sure he is debuting his new program(s)? at DOI this weekend? I seem to recall some news about that, but he just seems to be doing so many extra things recently that I wonder if has had time to practice. Part of me can't wait, but part of me wants to wait...:laugh:
 
I loved Yuzuru's version of Hana wa Saku! It was full of emotion and no doubt they used the lighting to their advantage. :agree:

Watching this brightened up my day! I didn't mind the lack of jumps, he really put all his emotions into this program. The lighting made his costume look more appealing too (flow of fabric, etc). ;)

Unlike Meoima, I welcome more of those rock programs. :biggrin: Being a the self proclaimed hard core rocker that I am. When I started following Yuzuru, I got more hooked when I saw his programs of The Doors (Hello, I Love You) and U2 (Vertigo) and that of MI and PW too. I wish that he will have a program a la Kevin Reynolds' ACDC in the future. I would love to see him pull that one off.

I am sorry I can't tell who choreographed the "Change", since I can't remember what he exactly said after the performance.
He said something when he performed it for the first time, but I am not sure he mentioned about Nanami-Sensei.

Even if he had said it's Nanami's work, I would've just taken it granted and forgot about it, because I've been thinking that all of his old programs were Nanami's.
My terrble short memory:cry:

Anyway, if it was not Nanami's, whose is it?
I have googled about it, but found out nothing.

Ah, no problem. I found the tweets about Yuzuru's speech re:Nanami sensei choreographing CHANGE.
First time to collaborate with Monkey Majik, but this song CHANGE is so tiring!
I couldn't skate to this well enough when Nanami sensei created this when I was a junior, and now I'm able to perform to it in front of so many people… thank you very much.

Yuzuru love patting small kid's check! So that's his hobby. Cute! I also love patting children's check, but to annoy them because when they get annoyed it's sooooo cute!
