I can't either. But I guess some Japanese fans might be able to find them on nico? Or there are also some reports on news website about this press con. There is a very good series of reports on Yuzu's competition - like a documentary on Asahi Shimbun (Morning Sun Newspaper, one of the five national newspapers in Japan) website: 夢のかなたに.

According to my Japanese friend, this documentary records this story about the press con as well. You have to pay to read the whole article though.

I asked some Dai fans. They told me that some fans began to have some words against Yuzu since 2012 sochi gpf. Yuzu was ranked 3rd in SP after P-Chan and Dai - 5 points behind the 1st. When answering the reporters about how he felt, he said that 5 points was not that bad, at least better than the situation of Dai in NHK (Dai was 8 points behind Yuzu at NHK that season). This statement had stirred quite a noise among those Japanese reporters. Some even asked him in private if it is ok to publish all his words, he replied no problem, publish them all (reminding me of his S-personality again...).

He probably didn't even want to offend someone, neither Daisuke nor his fans. Like said it straight-out because it was in his mind but without purpose to offend. Well, Sagittarius is known for that.

Back in the day, I remember one commentator saying sometimes the rivalry with skaters from your own country supersedes international rivalries. Can't remember if it was regarding the Yagudin vs. Plushenko rivalry, or Michelle vs. Tara. The original statement pertained to the skaters themselves, but I think this might be why there are some diehard Dai fans that won't "accept" Yuzu. Even though the skaters themselves don't care who is the best skater in Japan, the fans won't let it go.

Yep, typical Sagittarius~ He is not targeting Dai at all. He is just straight-forward and honest. 1-2 years ago (can't remember when exactly), a reporter tweeted about her interview with Yuzu where Yuzu said something about Yan HAN: ''I remember competing with him in jr and I lost to him. Now that I have joined the senior and I saw him still in jr last year. I hope he can join the senior soon. I look forward to competing with him again.'' Yan HAN retweeted the reporter's tweet as well and wrote ''sigh... such an open challenge...'' The kid has a competitive spirit and he is not hiding it. And I kinda like that.

really? I just call that the "sometimes my mouth is way faster than my brain" syndrome good to know I can just blame it on my zodiac sign.


Seriously now, I think fan wars are just such a silly thing. People get all worked up over stuff that the object of their affection couldn't give two ****s about. I'm obviously not the most sane person in the world, but that is just some kind of crazy I don't understand - and I don't want to! Listen to that annoying Disney song and let it go.

I'm quite surprised the media grafted one part of performance on another one. It's kind of fake no matter what their motivation was. In fact, a succeeded 4T with a 3Lz is never existed, isn't?

I have to say that Dai fans who around me are really nice parsons.
To tell the truth, they were even pleased with Yuzuru receiving an OGM at Sochi.
so I don’t wanna blame them aaaat all (I knda feel sorry for daisuke fans here)

by the way, one of the reasons why I am following this forum is, I think, most people who posted here
are thoughtful, open-minded and kind, to even such me who am weak in English.

I bet Yuzuru is one lucky boy who has so many great overseas fans. he should be proud of it :agree:

I myself is a big Daisuke fan. I have heard about his a kind of fanatic fans, but they are just extreme.

Real figure skating fans just love excellent skaters. Skaters are athletes, not idols.
Even their nationality does not matter. Great skaters are great. Beautiful skaters are beautiful.

Just ignore the extremists. They are just saying bla, bla, bla.

uh... the things Dai fans are saying/doing is making me very uncomfortable, because I am a gigantic Dai fan and I consider myself more of a Dai fan than anything else, though I still am a fan of Yuzuru.

The little thing that Yuzu said during FaOI being analyzed as such is ridiculous. Yuzuru has talked on numerous accounts about Dai's skating and how it set the stage for his own success, and how much he respects Dai. There are just... times when Dai has been lowballed, and he's been Japan's #1 for so long... fans have a lot of bitter feelings and I guess this is how some of them let it out.

If you mean 4T + 3Lz-3T combination, it seems not at DOI, I'm afraid, although on the first day, some tweets say 3Lz-3T, but it might not have been clean, I'm not sure.

But we have information that he landed all the jumps clean at FaOI in Toyama. We have to wait for its uploading :yay:

I think this is an edited version. Maybe the 4T is from the first day, and the other was of the second day which almost all of us on this thread have already seen. According to the twitter reports, he fell 4T both shows on the second day of DOI.

ゆづはバラ１、3A、4Tコケ、3Lzｰ3T、ステップでちょっとつまずいて、あ、という表情、挨拶の時ちょっと首傾げてた。演技は本人的に納得いかなかったけど、これは神プロ(*^o^*) 自然と引き込まれるようなプログラムで仕上がりが楽しみ(*^o^*)
3A, 4T fell, 3Lz3T. a bit stumbled at the steps, with small oops expression, tilted his head a bit at the end.

結弦さんバラ1 イーグル→3A→イーグル美麗！4T派手にこけた､3Lz詰まって単独､ステップ流れあって素晴らしい､スピンさすが～！まさに息をのむプロでした｡美しかったです｡
Eagle-3A-Eagle beautifully, 4T a big fall, 3Lz single jump, fine flowing steps, fabulous spins.

ゆづバラ1。イーグルから3A、CStSp、FCSpドーナツ締め、4T、ウォーレイからの3Lz前のめり着氷-根性で2T、StSq、CCoSp。とにかくステップがヤバい。あんなに音数あるのに全部にステップハメてる。ばとる君超鬼(^q^)でも鳥肌立って拍手出来ないほど素敵すぎて！！！
Eagle to 3A, 4T, Wallay to 3Lz fell forward slightly - 2T attached with guts. Mesmerizing steps catching every tune.

He seems to have succeeded 4T on the last day, but I think the cut is the same one we see on the News.

I think we don't have to worry. In shows it is quite diffrent. There is usually dark, lights flashing and it is very easy to make wrong judging on jump

I modified my post. It was 3lz-2t. And yes since now, either the quad was wrong, or the 3lz tilted, 3A same thing, and we never saw a 3T^^.
