Whether or not he competes at NHK will have to be decided by people with more knowledge of medical science and Yuzuru's situation. I wish him well, and I hope he listens to his doctor's advice. If he goes, I hope his team considers a less rigorous layout.

Matsuoka san has great empathy for Yuzu. The boy must be happy to hear that words.
Indeed, he should. Shuzo Matsuoka's injury at the US Open in 1995 led to pro tennis changing the rules regarding medical treatment during matches.

I don't know that Yuzuru is so brave as much as stubborn and single-minded. As someone else said, this is only a Grand Prix competition and he could have seriously hurt himself by going out and skating. I hope he doesn't sustain injuries that will nag him throughout the rest of the season because he refused to withdraw. His health is more important IMO.
Also - does anyone know if Johnny Weir designed his LP costume again? It looks like something Johnny would do!

I dare not rewatch his Fs at CoC ever again. It's too hurtful to watch. I hope he will recover and deliver a clean program with the outfit.
I have to say his outfits this season are very decent it would be a crime if he withdraws too many competitons, we don't have much chance seeing his costumes (and his performances). But anyways his health comes first.
Fingers cross that he will WD from NHK.

I'm so happy to hear that Yuzu's going to be ok. When I came back from school the first thing I did was to check the news. If Yuzu will feel alright until NHK, it's ok, but if not, better not to force himself for a GPF. I hope he'll recover quickly.

I edit, it is the video of him practicing FS before the competition. He looks good, and I believe would have won it if not for the unfortunate accident.

I think it's good that there's some backlash to letting him skate. While I found it very impressive it really was rather dangerous and it needs to be talked about. I also think Han Yan being allowed to skate should be looked in to. He was flat on his back for ages after he stepped off the ice.

Sorry, I was shocked to see many of my Weibo posts during COC were translated into Japanese and "retweeted" to Twitter without any of my credits. And despite I stated I don't want people to repost the audio memos or translate without my credits, I still saw it on Twitter last night, so I decided not to disclose it until I finished my reports. Please wait for a few days

On another note I really wanted to thank everyone on the updates. I've been really worried about the incident and I still feel horrible recalling the scenes. I'm so incredibly relieved that he didn't sustain any serious damages. Hopefully Yuzu recovers well and does not rush things.
