Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

So sorry you had to see so much trauma in your trip.
But thank you for the report.
I really think that COC was something strange and 'off' about the whole competition, the men and women both did not perform well...but since you were there, what was the atmosphere like?

I don't think the athletes were affected. I watched some of the programs from telecast, and I cerainly would not have known all that was going on. Of course, I still saw some flashes today, but I'm not an athlete so I don't know how it actually affects their performances.

some quotes from Orser, from an article about the free skate...

Hanyu received stiches on his head and chin and was checked for a concussion after the competition. His coach, Brian Orser, said he would fly back to Japan on Sunday to receive further treatment.

"I know that tomorrow he's going to feel like he was hit by a car," he said. "Both of these boys are going to feel awful."

Orser said he allowed Hanyu to compete because he wasn't exhibiting any physical signs of a concussion after the crash — his eyes were clear and he was speaking normally, even making jokes.

"He was immediately determined he wanted to compete, and for me, I wanted to make sure he was healthy enough," he said. "I told him, 'This is not the time to be a hero. You have to take care of yourself.'"

We can discuss his costume while we wait for news of his health. :)

My verdict: I like it a LOT.

I love the costume a lot. And after the injury, I think, he is the most beautiful phantom ever.

I like it very much too, but I would like the white part to be black. I was very excited about seeing costume, but I can't now enjoy thinking about it : (

I still see myself yelling at the screen because Eurosport decided to show some commercials instead of the warm-up and I didn't get to see the damn costume. And I so want to play fashion critic and rave about the costume but I just can't  I don't want to watch that video again and in every picture he's either bleeding or bandaged

Anyways, does this mean Yuzuru will compete at NHK with this condition???

Hopefully he will have only to cope with some bad pain for few days, and he will be ok

I know what he will feel for next days, few yars ago I got massive hit in my head that shoot me off my feet, not nice pain

Regarding his costume ; It has lots of bling and lots of ruffles.....very Yuzuru lol I don't love it and I don't hate it. Its good  As for his program...I can't say. All I think of when I watch it is :bang: I'll give my full opinion on it the next time....

The horrible LP is fully shown here.
But at the end you can see Hanyu happily pushing himself around in a wheelchair. He is resting at a hotel and will be examined tomorrow in Japan.

He looked ready to have an emotional breakdown when he came back out....no wonder he cried so hard afterwards

A tweet from Misha Ge:

P.S. Meet Yuzu in Corridor walking with people help, he said he still ok, but need time for rest. Wished him fastest recovery #Fighter

Not sure if I've just missed it, but is it the case that Yuzuru's not put a biellman spin in either of his programs?

I am drain , I don't know what to say. I really want to praise him (and Yan) for their bravery, but I can't. I can't and I think I will never agree with this kind of decision. Sometime step down when necessary is also the way to display bravery as well.
