Meanwhile, I'm going to be stuck at home and probably trying to resist the temptation to watch the GPF stream live (there's definitely going to be one right?) or even just following the live results because I always jinx my favourites when I do that

I just love team Japan so much, everyone who was on my radar and who just came onto my radar, have shown themselves to be such warm and nice character(there are better adjectives out there for what I think they are but I just can't think right now...). I really just root for so many people that I can't decide what my ideal men podium would look like. Will be even tougher at Japan Nationals I know.
So do we think he will go straight to Japan after GPF to prepare for Japan Nationals? On one hand it'll help with the jet lag, but on the other hand he might not be training in Toronto with coach Orser.
Slightly off topic: I noticed from various team Japan banquet table photo that Satoko Miyahara is not in any of them...wonder where she went? Leaving Kanako all by herself with the boys...

I think Japanese nationals is only a week or so away from GPF right? If so, I think he may choose to go back to Japan. If I'm somehow getting the dates wrong and there's a longer period of time between GPF and nats, he may choose to go back to Canada. Though I'm sure that if he were to return to Japan, Orser will definitely help him out in the last few days because he will probably be there at nats too.
Is it bad that I'm hoping for a Japanese podium at GPF and then a bloodbath at Nationals to make the world team?

At this point, though, I'm just about as excited about going to the GPF as I am about escaping the cold weather for a week. Right now, it's 10-15 degrees Celcius warmer in Barcelona than here. :dance: Just hope it's not too cold inside the CCIB hall... I can never make sense of that, the one venue I ever visited, it was freezing, but then you watch the telly and sometimes people are just sitting at competitions wearing a t-shirt or just a sweater (?!), and with the NHK Trophy last weekend, pretty sure in the video of the men's medal ceremony, Tatsuki Machida said it was very warm. :-/
Anyway, back on topic, I hope to be amazed by seeing Yuzuru's skating talent in real life!

/cackles/ We have such a charmer, don't we? I couldn't stop laughing at the comments, though! Out of all the ladies, I much prefer Kanako -- it's the ultimate "childhood friends for xx years realize their feelings for each other" scenario ehe. I do know he wants to focus on his skating in the meantime, but it would be nice to watch him grow and have a relationship!
