Obviously he skated first in the SP so his score was lower than it should be IMO.
I guess Yuzuru is meditating somewhere in very, far, far away mountains in biellman position:

Do we know for sure Yuzu is in Toronto? Did Nam or Javi say anything on social media?

Let's bet where is his flight coming from all the way to Shanghai!arty:Canada or Japan.
50 cents on Canada.
What I am thinking is that JSF and the Japan media know the situation about Yuzuru and decided not to tell the whole world. Maybe they are protecting him from too much pressure since he just recovered from the surgery and sprained ankle. But this is just my guessing.
About the world record, I think judges will only give the new world record to some perfect or close to perfect performance like Yuzuru's Parisian Walkway and Patrick's long program in TEB. With a fall they will not give you the record unless you have some very much higher TES and they can do nothing to keep it.

What I'm hoping is that Yuzu was able to sneak out of Japan unseen and has been in Toronto for the past few weeks training with Orser and Shae Lynn. I want to see POTO up to it's full potential before the season is over!
+5 and +5,5![]()
although both deserve +3 in current system

You're not biased. In fact I think you're one of the most fair poster here.I think this problem occurs because judges are too generous in giving out +GOEs (to reputable skaters). The judges check the GOE bullets too easily. Then an ok jump checks 5 bullets, whereas a better jump may only check 3 bullets (even though each of the three qualities is much better than the qualities of the ok jump). If the judges are equally harsh to all skaters, perhaps the ok jump will only check 1 or 2 bullets, and the better jump still checks 3 bullets, so the better jump will score higher GOEs. I think that if a higher quality jump ends up with a lower GOEs than a lower quality jump, something is not right, most likely the judges are influenced by the skater’s reputation.
Just doing an estimate (the numbers used are probably overestimated). If you inflate the GOEs by a little bit on each element, you will end up with a 2-3 pt GOE gap in the SP. Together, with a little bit of inflated PCS, you will end up with 3-4pts reputation gap over the other skaters. In the FS, the reputation gap is probably double the size, so overall, the reputable skater has probably about 10pts reputation advantage over the rest of the field. This gives the reputable skater about 3 fall cushions. So if the skater makes multiple major mistakes and still wins, the win will be controversial. The judges should really try not to be influenced by a skater’s reputation. (I understand it’s inevitable because judges are also human, but they should try to minimize it.)
I actually think Yuzuru is the only skater that deserves to have a 3pt GOE gap in over his closest rival in the short program (when both he and his rivals skate well). Because he adds difficulty to each element and executes these elements with the highest quality. IMHO, I don’t think any other skater has this kind of technical skill to pull off this kind of lead. So if someone else gets comparable GOEs as him, or even higher GOEs than him when he skates well, I tend to think that it’s either that skater is overscored or Yuzu is underscored . (I admit I am biased.)

Well, maybe when ISU thought of criteria for GOE, they didn't expect skaters like Yuzuru and Han Yan to be real. Their 3A should be +5 GOE but the current rules don't allow it.If one wants everything to be strictly according to the rules, I suppose this might be bohtersome, but in case of Yuzuru if he deserves much higher GOEs than his rivals who have already received high GEOs, but cannot get the +5, judges will reward him in PCS instead, I think.
Omg does this mean Yuzuru is in English Texbook for some high school students in Japan? This person's son will be a high school student from this April, and brought back homework for doing in the spring holidays before entering school.
Look at his English textbook !
Featuring Yuzuru !
