Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

From IFS Magazine backstage at JWC:
And finally, Brian Orser on his winning trio: Yuzuru has had some challenges so I haven't seen him really at all since Nationals
Either he is ill, mentally or physically??? So bad that he couldn't fly to Toronto to adjust his programs? Don't tell me it's his ankles or his hip?
Or he plans to split from Orser? Which doesn't make sense as it's right before WC. Even if he wants to change coach, it shouldn't be right now.

Nope. It looks more like Yuzuru decided to stay in Japan for more rest for his ankle and less jet-lag since the WC is in Shangai, and is working on a plan Brian did, just like a few months ago. Even if Yuzuru is practicing according to his plan, Brian can't possibly really look into what still needs to be fixed and such, since he's not right in front of him like Javier and Nam.
That's how I understand it from the info we got those past weeks, anyway.

Or maybe, just maybe, just thinking out loud here - maybe he had surgery late last year and needed time to recover and then they decided to take it slow, and maybe Orser didn't feel like spilling each and every detail to the media while Yuzuru's going through a rough patch. Just spitballing here. But of course we could always just freak out right away, that's always an option.

We had very few info those past weeks, so yes, it can very well be the case. I'd rather have no news of Yuzuru for now, actually. That can easily means that he's staying away from the media for now and keep it quiet, just like Brian.

Nothing to worry about, really.
Remember that we had no news at all when Yuzu left hospital in mid January? And that was before Yuzu sprained his ankle. That means Yuzu's team or JSF's post-Nationals publicity strategy is to keep silent and not leak any news to the public. So Brian's words or attitude doesn't really mean anything. I think he was just avoiding giving info about Yuzu. What we can tell is that Yuzu is still in Japan, that's for sure. But of course it's still possible that something not so good happened, but once again we can't do anything about it.

This all is looking strange. I felt like Brian's answer was pretty cold, but maybe it's just my feeling.

Not sure. Hope Brian doesn't need to go through another split drama. But, thinking optimistically, Yuzu might just want to spend more time with his family after all those bad things he experienced this season.

I'm just hoping Yuzu is not mind controlled by his personal trainer Akira Kikuchi.. (He said he was the one who gave Yuzu a beautiful quad jump and cured his asthma. He gave Yuzu a strange sticker that has special chakra in it and Yuzu sticks on his necklace and always wear it during the match. He is very famous among Japanese fans for doing and saying weird spiritual things..)
Sorry for my poor English.

We just need to give a little more trust to this intelligent young man.

No need to say sorry. We understand you very well.
But why do I have the feeling I am reading horror/ spiritual story...:slink:

Hopefully, both parties will fly to Shanghai with enough time to correct those mistakes if they're any. And I really hope JSF doesn't make Yuzuru take part on the ice shows this year, or that he goes by his own stubborn will. The man is in need of a real break.

I need help finding footage of Yuzu's jumps. I only need a few jumps and one good spin. The footage I'm looking is usually the ultra slow motion replays at the end during the kiss and cry highlights. 1080p HD is preferred and I'd really like to have an angle like the first and second ones from this video: http://youtu.be/u7W7uMvdE7w

I have a feeling someone in this thread has watched and memorized many of his performances so I'm turning to you guys for help. Any help is very much appreciated. :)

So as not to derail this thread you can post links here http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/sh...otion-Jump-Editing-(AKA-Sam-s-Jump-a-ma-tron)

Thx!

I am not sure about that especially considering Brian's tone and he said he hasn't met Yuzu AT ALL. If Yuzu is in Canada, even if he is working with somebody else, as long as Brian is his coach, I imagine they will at least find sometime to meet up a bit.
