easy, it is normal that some will be dissapointed and some excited

I am excited because I love this music and judging by videos looks like Yuzuru also love it, and it can be amazing program on all grounds - technically and artistically.

But it could went other way that he would choose music that others would be excited and I could been dissapointed good for me this time


And I love beginning of the program already with that moves, you can already see by that it is done by diffrent choreographer. I am finding Shae-Lynn very fiery, and you can see that already. Moves are more natural, powerfull, from inside.

oh by no means that i meant that you're a hater since some of his fans (including me) are a bit skeptical too about his choice. and i saw some of your previous posts about yuzu on this thread . i just cited what you had commented about the same character thing since i dont believe that its the same character.. well it was just my opinion . peace !

No problem I just want to clarify why I think it is the same style.

I think with Phantom, it will be different, from the glimps of the program (news clip), I pretty much can see that he does feel the music from the inside. Like he has something connected to the character.

Not to mention the choreography is much different. So I think, even though it's still drama, it will be very different from his previous LP. This time, he seems to truly like the music and feels comfortable with it.

I don't assume that the program will be good or not good, just have a feeling it will be very interesting.

I'm reserving my opinion until I see the whole thing, but it's natural for baseless speculation to start, since that's what we do in the off-season, no?

I am however, happy for the fact that he seems to like the song and I think that makes hime able to "sell" and connect to the program better. I admit I also feed off the energy skaters give off when they actually enjoy the music. I could never quite enjoy Notre Dame LP because there was such a detachment to it.

I think POTO is very well known in Japan too and fans are generally quite excited about this news. I think Akiko said that Kanako wanted to skate to POTO after seeing her skate to it last season. Who knows if the Japanese media will make something out of them skating to the same piece of music...hopefully not! (I love Kanako, but she obviously wants someone funnier than Hanyu )

From this clip I also know that the begining of the program will be the same as Patrick and Phanthom of the opera main theme will begin after the second quad. Just for fun, anyone with good ears want to try guess which part he will use on the third quad in the second half? I try but can't hear.

Why doesn't he just replace the 3F with the 3Lz since he's doing it in combination with the salchow at the end. Reason being is that he always has that edge call which is supposed to be stricter this time around. Plus, the Lutz is worth a little more than the flip....

And my comment became irrelevant now that he's doing a 3A-1Lo-3S... which still begs the question on why he could just replace the flip with the lutz

He can't. He is already repeating two the same quads, and two 3A. And I think he will be doing two 3A combos, I think he can do that. And then he will do lutz on its own and will do 3A-2T/or 3T and 3A-1lo-3S. So I think it will be 4T3T, 3A2T, 3A-1lo-3sal

My first thought about his LP when the news was released was "Again!? " but then I got excited because of this music part. This is my favorite music piece from POTO. And then I was nervous about his jump layout . Being excited or being disappointed or being , we still have to wait until October comes.

Now I count on the day when the true bomb will explode: his costume

Thanks for the explanation! Still learning on what's allowed and what isn't in terms of jumping sequences...

And yes, that looks like a tano 2T.. I don't think I've seen him do the tano 3T yet

Thanks for the explanation! Personally, I would like it if he did the 3A-1lo-3S combo since he usually has a great running edge with his 3A more so than with his 3Lz since he tends to lean forward on the landings for those.

in junior high school (7-9grade) I had opportunity to watch Phantom of the Opera
At that time, I though I want to skate to this song for sure.

To say, because I won the Olympics, I can win everything next year as well, it's not like that so,
last year's me and next year's me will be totally different and so...
really, this year's me wants to go on to win being this year's me.

Nスタ writes and shows 4T+3T, meanwhile Every News writes 4T+2T.... we'll see what it actually is.
